Parents with their kids are an easy target because they know they can throw all sorts of abuse at you and you are going to try your best not to retaliate and upset your bairns.

I didn't expect him to be a world beater but I've been genuinely shocked at how bad a footballer he actually is. I was at the Forest match where he played the full 120 minutes against a Championship team and couldn't believe how so out of his depth he looked, even against a lower League opponent. You'd think he'd never played football before. Not sure what to do with him tbh. Loan him back to a Championship team in January perhaps and hopefully he can find some form and confidence?

He wasn't getting booed like. Never heard anyone booing him inthe Gallowgate and someone further up the thread who sits in the East Stand never heard any booing either. There were audible groans when he kept losing the ball easily but to suggest he was getting booed or abuse off the fans is just wrong. I wasn't there so can't verify any booing, there was clear anger and audible groans though and remonstrations from fans. Audible groans, definitely, but when a player is so poor and is just constantly giving the opposition the ball back towards the end of a tight game, it's always going to happen. Was a bad call to bring him on given how poor he's looked on the few occasions we've seen him play.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that they ended up goading someone with a lower tolerance level than yourself and will now have a painful reminder of how silly they've been.

When did this happen like? Every time he lost the ball there were groans but the time he was perceived to be not chasing back for it he got absolute pelters. Thought you were there? Just contradicting what's said on here for the sake of it? I was there. There were a few groans when he lost the ball which is understandable, especially the way he was losing the ball when he was letting the full back simply walk it off him. I never heard anyone boo or abuse him though, certainly not in the Gallowgate. I think you're making that bit up.

f***ing hell thats bleak Sounds worst than it is. If they get a good manager in who can motivate the players and get some momentum going for them the outlook will change very quickly. Heres hoping they hire another fool and the team continues to play like they’re not even arsed. Exactly. After reading all that the bottom line is they're still only 3 points from safety.

Opposition teams know that they just need to score once against us to have an excellent chance of winning the game which puts us in trouble. That's four 1-0 defeats in 11 games and 5 games where we haven't scored. Investment in attacking players is imperative in January to make sure we don't get sucked into a relegation battle. If we do sign those players we'll be comfortable in mid table.

Apart from the offside goal that wasn't His linesman gave that. It was so marginal you wouldn't expect the referee to call that tbf.

He's not very good like. Doesn't really do anything particularly well in an attacking or a defensive duty. Panics when he gets up to the half way line and turns back and more often than not lets the winger get his cross in. Mbemba, Gamez or even Clark would be a better bet at left back.

Another awful referee again yesterday although his performance had no impact on the result. Why can't the richest most popular league in the World get decent officials to take control of the games? The refereeing in last year's Euros was immense and then you see the sh*te we have to put up with.

No we wouldn't.

Should have played a part today. Daft to argue otherwise.

He's ok. Nothing more, nothing less. The ott criticism on here is just weird and not repeated anywhere else to my Knowledge, certainly not inside the ground or on Twitter etc.

Which saves were they? Watch the highlights. I watched the game And you missed those 2 saves? No, they were saves you'd expect any keeper above league 1 to make. He got a standing ovation after both. The 2nd save which he did well to hold he had the Gallowgate singing his name. You mustn't have been there. Watch the highlights. I watched the game I didn't say I was there. I don't really get your point. Colback used to clapped off, crowd reaction isn't a good metric to measure something by Your stream must have been poor. I was sat behind the goal.he made the saves in front of. He did well. Our problems are at the other end of the pitch. It was absolutely fine thanks. No one is disputing that our forward play is garbage thats why every player is getting slammed. One throwaway remark about elliot's kicking and its like he's been called the worst keeper in the history of the game You're making the mistake of simply going with the crowd on here. He's average, although I've seen far worse NUFC keepers, but he's done ok this season and, I repeat, our main concern is down the other end of the pitch.

Atsu looks great. Untl he gets the ball under control.

Made a couple of cracking saves but let's concentrate on him taking a couple of micro seconds too long on a goal kick instead of the far more important issues of us being absolutely pathetic in the oppositions half of the pitch. This is Newcastle online after all.
