  1. Who was that who was stretchered off? Didn't have a clue what was going on at the time like I assumed someone had had a heart attack in the crowd or something.
  2. I thought Gerrard done what was expected of him tbh, not to any great level but he made himself available in the centre and distributed the ball well. Him and Henderson were pretty much alone in the centre and expected to feed the forwards where as Italy packed it with Pirlo, De Rossi, Verratti and Marchisio.
  3. It's fucking mental, and pretty typical of us. Rooney had a pretty poor game on the whole I thought and looked permanently angry throughout, but he set our goal up with a fantastic cross from his left foot. Gerrard and Henderson against Pirlo, Marchisio and De Rossi was always going to be difficult, we don't have any kind of imposing midfielder to stick in there either, but he still kept the ball moving forward whenever he was on it and he was involved a lot.
  4. He's knows exactly what he's doing the pathetic tosser.
  5. He was absolutely shite man You're talking shite. I'm not. What did Gerrard do to positively affect England's game? What did he do negatively to affect England's game? He was sat deep and attempted to distribute the ball, like he was asked. I'm not really sure what he did to be considered shite tbh. He isn't Pirlo, I think we established that 2 years ago. He barely touched the ball in a meaningful way. Do you not think that negatively affects the team? For a defensive midfielder he didn't win any ball, he let Marchisio in behind him loads of times He's not a "defensive midfielder" though, I don't think he can ever be expected to sht down his man. He was involved though and he rarely if ever wasted the ball. I think we need to look at the midfield as a whole but I'm not having it that Gerrard was individually shit like, he wasn't.
  6. Exactly when and where has this ever happened for England in a major tournament in the last decade since 2004? He is not our best player and not a match winner at international level. Name me one example in a tournament since Euro 2004 he has done this? Exactly. Horrific craic.

  8. I wouldn't drop him either, he was horrible today like but our problem was our inability to break Italy down. Lallana and Barkley were just as ineffective. Sterling had his moments as did Welbeck and Sturridge.
  9. I don't think Gerrard was "piss poor" by any stretch of the imagination like.
  10. Yep. The old guard of Gerrard etc. weren't good enough in their prime but they're doing a nurturing job and like you say 2016 onwards should be even better. If this squad is being thrown together for 2016/2018 in mind then Gerrard shouldn't be in the squad. You would run the risk of ruining the young uns without an experienced nucleus guiding them. It's why Lampard is there. And it's why Ashley Cole should've been there. In hindsight Ashley Cole probably should have started On a serious not that Candreva was quality, who the f*** is he? Candreva is actually a rather average player imo (at this level), but he got loads of space and Baines didn't look the part either. never heard of him before tbh.

  12. I've championed for Rooney recently but he was fucking horrible today like He needs to wind his neck in.
  13. Maybe I'm just used to utter shit football, but I honestly thought England played well today So did Italy, and once they decided to shut up shop our final ball was lacking, but I thought all in all it was a good display. Better than I expected anyway.
  14. what? Realistically you will now have to beat both Uruguay (who also need the win to stay in the tournament) and Costa Rica (who will also be in with a chance of qualifying at that stage after today's win). Tall order. If Uruguay had won today I'd agree, but Costa Rica beating them by 2 means 4 points will probably do it imo.
  15. Just cannot break Italy down when they go all Italy on you. That Canderwhatever fucking tormented Baines too, other than that I think we look to have more than enough about us to beat Uruguay and Costa Rica, it won't be easy but I still think we're strong favourites for 2nd.
  16. Nanis Ochoa. It's fucking bullshit. http://i.imgur.com/RuvIhlJ.jpg I mean, what do you say to that... Hello, my names Beren, my friend's call me Bez, I'm here to sweep you off your feet and into the back of a Mercedes Vito.
  17. BECAUSE YOUUUUUUUU'RRRRRRRE BORGES I'D DO ANYTHING FORR YOUUUUU
  18. Like they gave that piss poor Japan problems last last week? Are Japan piss poor? Remember them giving Italy a hell of a game last year. I've no idea tbh Nothing stands in the way of a shit Hans post though, nothing at all.
