  1. Half the SJP crowd enjoys it when he does his shitty celebration and he laps it up. Half the forum in fact loved Barton for his antics in general. You either accept it from all or accept it from none. Half of SJP in being pleased a Newcastle player has scored shocker And who are you to make up the fucking rules like? "You either accept it from all or accept it from none"? Sorry like but ner I enjoyed Barton winding up the mackems or having a bit of carry on over a corner with opposition fans now and then (I expect the mackems didn't like the 5-1 gestures and they rightfully hated him because of it), Danny Simpson shining the ball at Stoke etc, but I think I'll take exception at a player twice goading our fans in 3-0 derby defeats and then posing for photos after the game with team mates rubbing it in. I don't want the daft cunt walking in like nothing has happened and rewarded with a fucking lucrative contract at the club.
  2. Me neither. I know I'm banging the same drum a bit, but we're still miraculously without a proper left winger in the entire squad. We spent about 3 windows buying Mbiwa whilst entering seasons with Coloccini, Taylor and Williamson as our only recognisable centre backs. Rob Elliot is our 2nd choice (and cup) keeper and has been since he arrived in 2011. The King of Spin mentions us replacing Gosling, a non-entity who's existence didn't warrant replacing, and suddenly we're interested in building a squad? He'll be starting plenty of games next season.
  3. I know of nobody who enjoys Steven Taylor responding to opposing fans/players. Most just think he's a fucking idiot.
  4. That 'United Passions' film The stuff about the FIFA courts is just scary though, first I've heard of that.
  5. Pretty sure TT was banging on about never wanting to watch another game again or some other such shite during the season too. Now anyone agitated at our continuation of making meaningless signings is getting the patranising, but incredibly witty "poor bairns" treatment.
  6. I think everyone gets it apart from the 2 wums tbh.
  7. Fucking creased by it, it's genuinely made the transfer worth it All professionalism thrown out of the window.
  8. That is an utterly embarrassing statement like.
  9. ffs Areet then Juice, I'll bite, what? If it's melodramatic that I don't think an average footballer who has chosen multiple times to be an absolute tosser towards the club deserves us to offer him the opportunity to play for us then fair enough. If he was any good I'd be all over it.
  10. Nobody is being a dick for not wanting someone who twice goaded the fans in 3-0 defeats to the fucking mackems, man. He doesn't deserve his dream move after that. That's not being petty, if we were in any way interested in actually building a proper squad, managed by a proper manager, to actually compete to the best of our ability then I suppose I could forgive him as I would have some kind of faith in the decision to sign him. He's an average player though and it's obvious the reasons we're signing him, and if we are to sign players just because they're free and they want to come here then I'd rather they hadn't used every opportunity in the past to be a complete and utter cock end towards the club during the 2 most embarrassing defeats we've ever had. The small things and all that.
  11. QFNP, bloody hans. QFNP Fuck yous all. EDIT: I believe I've miscounted, now I just feel foolish.
  12. What exactly do we need a squad to compete in? We actively don't want to go far in the cups and we're not in Europe. He's an average player brought in because he's free, young and wants to come here, that's about the long and short of it. If we genuinely wanted a squad to compete we would have splashed out and done it properly years ago, instead of signing a few players on the cheap here and there when they're available.
  13. It's definitely his fault. In life if i'm blaming 4 or 5 different people for something i'm doing - I know it's something within me that's the root cause. Rooney's rarely been the star player for Man Utd either. And when he has iirc they've won nowt. What does it matter if he's been the 'star player' or not? He's had a very good career there regardless of wether or not he's been outshone in patches by others. Leading into the last Euros, where he was 'shit', he scored 27 goals. World Cup 2010? 26. His 2 best seasons in terms of goalscoring form and then, along with most others, his form wasn't replicated in the summer.
  14. Don't think so, the 11 subs are seemingly there purely to knock your budget down to 89 pounds.
  15. Rooney not performing for England is more to do with the managers as it is to do with him. The same with Gerrard not performing with Lampard etc. He doesn't randomly become one of the Premiership's top performers to a borderline clogger because he's pulling an England shirt on. If Hodgson cannot get Rooney to perform well for him then he has fucking no chance with the likes of Lallana and Barkley, who are in all honesty far inferior players.
