Hmm this does go with what I was told yesterday and was sceptical about... Stop pretending your ITK.

Those Caulkin quotes dont worry me at all like they have 1 or 2 people. He said yesterday the buyers were still "overwhelmingly confident" of a deal being struck. The reason people are worried is because this is taking a little longer than *they* expected. All of the BEIN stuff, the Sheff Utd issues, the human rights issuse will all have been looked at thoroughly by the lawyers on the buyers side. If they thought for 1 minute there was going to be problem, a 17 million pound deposit would not have been payed. We just need to relax and let it take its course, as frustrating as that is.

That Gary Wilson looks like Roy Cropper.

Still not working for me.

Oh well, that's all I'm arsed about.

Up to 4 weeks takes us up to the end of this week since the PL tests started. Then there's the transferring of funds which could take up to 5 working days. With it being a bank holiday this friday the funds may not have been transferred to Mike Ashley until the back end of next week. That would all fit in with the middle of may completion date that's been mentioned quite a few times. If we haven't heard anything by next weekend, then maybe we need to start crying.

Yeah, I think next week too. It'll be interesting to hear what Caulkin says tonight at the meeting. Surely an update will be given?

Chill. With this week it’s been 4 weeks. The PRL test could take up to 4 weeks. Then the transfer of money is ”a few days” so this could drag on to next week. This is exactly my view too. Caulkin said the checks *could* be done by (last) Wednesday but strongly emphasised that wasn't a definite. The checks might well be done but then transferring of funds could take up to a week, with this friday being a bank holiday this could quite easily run into next week. Hopefully everything just moves along without any negative reports coming out.

Can someone not ask the question tomorrow? Why wasn't this meeting held back until confirmation of the deal was made? We might get an answer we all like.

You will hear my dulcet tones for 5 minutes at the start. I prefer my spelling if the word here. Sorry - wasn't picking you up on spelling. Just pointing out that I will be giving a 5 minute speech at the start of the event. I'm pleased it's going to be streamed live, definitely will be watching/listening to it.

Live streamed tomorrow night. We might get to here from George Caulkin what the crack is with the PL tests.

It's a good point. He would write an article on it. Expect an exclusive later.

You expecting all that to happen In the next week to 2 weeks? Not at all. At the beginning some people were mwntioning this could take 12 to 18 months for the virus to resolve. Its not looking that way now. The deal will hopefully be done within 2 weeks though (hopefully). I doubt the economy will have started to recover in that time.

Luke Edward's talks in absolute riddles. He constantly contradicts himself. Let's see how his latest tweet unfolds throughout today...

I see everyone is going insane. Fantastic.

What makes it even more baffling is, it was him that said the directors test didn't start until the 14th April. If that's the case, this time next week still wouldn't be over the 4 weeks it was said it could take to complete. So what on earth is he on about?
-
I'm guessing that would depend on what was written into the official bid/contracts. At the bare minimum that would be the case. Pretty sure when this all broke, lawyers and journalists confirmed that he can’t pull out, there is literally nothing he can do to stop the deal. The only thing that can stop it is the checks and them not paying the money. Yeah, that's what I remember being said too.

They've got this crazy mental idea that pre 1992, everyone in the north east supported them and we had no supporters at all. Then Keegan came along and everyone started supporting Newcastle and that's why Newcastle now have more fans than them. All it takes is a little look on the following website to totally disprove this bullshit argument they keep peddling. https://www.european-football-statistics.co.uk/england.htm Viewing both NUFC and safc's year on year average attendances pre 1992 will show you that most of the time, our average attendance has been higher than theirs. They just completely fabricate stuff in their heads, repeat it a few times to a few others and before you know it it becomes a mackem fact.
