1 thing we can be certain of whatever happens with this takeover is that, apart from 1 or 2 north east journalists, the rest are fucking absolute mongs.
-
Thats what i got from the screenshot I just seen.

It is. Just Lee Ryder is getting confused with the Martin Samual article. What has Lee Ryder said, he's blocked me so I cant read anything he tweets (thank god).
-
Yes. I remember before this popped up, the talk was if a price was not agreed, they can't do the test. Yet now, they are doing the test, people say no price has been agreed. Like what the.... But the only article that said it was Martin Samuel's which has since been edited out so it doesn't say it anymore. As far as I'm aware nobody else has said that. As for Ashley still pulling the plug on it until the tests are done, we already knew that didnt we?

I never thought a deleted bullet point could make me smile as much

Whilst the UK does not have the concept of "good faith" within English contract law, there are likely clauses in any agreement that the parties have signed that mean if Ashley were to withdraw from the agreement, without cause (that is to say, without a specific and justifiable reason) he could be sued for damages (i.e. sued for the costs incurred by Staveley, Ruben Brothers, and possibly PIF - e.g. the cost of very expensive lawyers & accountants could be millions.) It is very significant that SJHL (St James Holding Limited) has a contractually binding agreement with Staveley because that agreement exists for a reason, and if Ashley caused SJHL to breach the agreement (without a justifiable cause) then SJHL would be subject to a lawsuit by Staveley. He was able to walk away from other acquisition scenarios, without cause or cost, because he didn't have any signed agreements in place. Having read this and re-read the article from Samuel, I have calmed a bit. I re-read that Martin Samuel article and it is completely his opinion and him trying to be a cunt. If you read it again its clear hes not spoke Ashley about this or anyone close to Ashley. He even says, the selling side have said nothing.
-
If anything, Martin Samuel's article will at least make people keep a lid on things and stop talking about Mbappe signing. As has been said, he hasn't said anything about sources close to Ashley or anything, so let's just try and calm down. Fuck I hate this club so much sometimes.

It's that element of doubt that has been stoked this morning that's really got me.
-
Here we go again it seems All he is doing is spouting what Samuel has put. Yeah but he says that Samuel has spoken to Ashley recently so it’s coming from Ashley I think he meant in that interview he did with Ashley last time that fakeover went tits up.
-
I understand all other reports and documents lodged at companies house strongly suggest the complete opposite to what fat samuel is saying, but what he's said has put that horrible feeling back in my gut this morning because its Mike Ashley this involves. I really really cant stand people who like to stop peoples enjoyment just to be fucking cunts.
-
Just read that Martin Samuel article. To me it stinks of someone who just wants to cast a shadow of doubt in Newcadtle fans' heads as they're starting to get excited and he doesn't like it. It's basically just his opinion. If that is the case, then it has worked with me. The fat fucking prick. Can't just let us enjoy it.

None of them deserve what could transpire. These will be the same people who think Bruce is a good manager who plays attacking football and would rather keep him over Rafa. Bunch of total mouth breathing morons.
-
They do this sort of weird stuff all the time. Something good has happened at Newcastle, quick pretend to be a Newcastle fan and go against what all other Newcastle fans think. Or, something bad happens at Sunderland, quick lets make something up where Newcastle did it ten times worse. They're fucken weird. This whole thing is fucking killing them. They are desperately trying to convince themselves it's a bad thing.
-
Did they not do this last week according to Caulkin?
-
I doubt anyone would be expecting a title challenge in the first year. I'm sure I read it's going to be a gradual growth year on year which is absolute streets ahead of where we've been the last 13 years.
-
Funny isn't it, when that Dell consortium looked like they were buying them and they were telling everyone they were going to be the richest club in the world, we didn't hear any of these concerns then did we? They absolutely love trying to convince themselves that this is a negative.

How far behind is Craig Hope? "In talks" Craig mate, the owners and directors test is a week in.
-
Unless he fancies the club down the road from us. They reckon hes a good owner anyway so it makes sense.
-
I hope they tumble down the leagues and eventually go out of business. Just thought I'd add a bit balance here.
-
Well I based my opinion of Mike Ashley on the football served up, the people he appointed to run the football club and the people he pissed off along the way (Keegan, Shearer, Rafa the fans etc). I'll be basing my opinions of our new owners in exactly the same way. After 13 years of a parasite holding this club back, I honestly dont care where the new owners are from as long as they run this club like a football club. Whether the Saudis own us or dont own us will make no difference to how they behave and what they do in Saudi Arabia.
