There's a path through this that is anti Ashley and anti Saudi that gets us through the other side with some integrity. The soul of the club is as important as the success of the club. If you don't believe that then what are we doing? What path is that then? Fight Ashley, protest against Saudi involvement in the club. Protect the soul of NUFC. You all keep saying we are special but have rolled over and stuck your legs in the air for the first billionaire that's got a chance of prising us from Ashley's grip. We are special we should be fighting to remain so. If we don't then what's the point? Yes lets have a mock funeral and not eat the pies at half time and oh .... There is no soul left to preserve 13 years of Ashley proved that . Then what's the point? What's your answer then? Fan ownership? There's a plenty of stops between being Saudi or Ashley owned. I'm idealistic not naïve, I want someone with ambition that cares that doesn't have blood on their hands. Is it realistic probably not but does it mean we shouldn't fight for it f*** no. Where have these stops been the last 13 years you talk about ? The same support the team not the regime bullshit that held us back during the Ashley era.

It's binary apparently.

Some on here would take that rather than be taken over by the Saudis. Fuck off.

We should fight for it but even you realise its not realistic ... give me strength That sounds perfectly NUFC to me.

Fuck off Proving it is impossible though. That’s the legality of it all. Like your hairline, it’s just so confusing! I get people want us to improve and move on but to be so desperate for it that you are prepared to become a lickspittle for a truly horrific regime. "Yeah I guess they murdered him but how do you prove it? Now watch this highlight reel."

If there's another option that isn't the fucking Saudis then count me in.
-
Thats all we have left ;-) That's all you ever had
-
Could it be the other way too, worrying about protests if they don't approve it. Hedging their bets.
-
Had a quick look and looks that way to me.

All the more Spaniard to cuddle.

Me too, he's funny on the Guardian podcast and usually pretty fair. I don't doubt for a second he'd be saying the same thing if it was another club they were buying. If alot of people on here are honest with themselves they'd be critical of the same deal going though at another club.
-
Hard to disagree with anything there Yeah pretty spot on. I agree with the sentiment, but the delivery is brash. A more intelligently written opinion-piece could be more persuasive. It's the Mirror. Tabloid journalism doesn't need to be devoid of tact. If he truly wanted to persuade, which seems to be the idea, he could have been less accusatorial. If it wasn't that there'd be another excuse.
-
If Man Utd owned the domestic Premier League rights is that not a conflict of interests?
-
Not one. Tonnes. Just not very useful ones. What were they?
-
This. I'm sure the a fair amount of people agree with the sentiment but I think it's that there's no redeeming amusement in the post, even if he tried. It just gets weird when it's 100% venom. Love Mince but he doesn't bring much to the table other than a foil to Bob.

Keeping an eye on the Farnborough and Luton areas. Had a GLF from Saudi to Farnborough, A GLEX from Saudi to Geneva then to Luton, a GLF280 from Nice (Monaco) to Farnborough then today a jet (GLF I think, can't remember) from Luton to Farnborough. A GLF5 also went from Stansted to Luton which was odd. Why?

Presumably it's not to check out the convention.
