Great thread! Probably because it was my first Newcastle game (I think), Shearer's header against Sheff Utd in the FA Cup Semi Final one year at Old Trafford - seems like an age since now.

out of 10 how would you rate his link up play and first touch? His link up play seemed pretty good when he did a brilliant lofted through ball to Obertan in the lead up to the second goal That lofted ball from Cisse was awesome! I actually thought it was Sissoko not Cisse!

Definitely grew into the game. A solid debut in my opinion.

He's class, his energy was missed when he went off! Gets about the pitch and has quality! His goal was superb too.
