Llorente and Doumbia then. Bless them. Can't wait to see who they actually sign
  2. All about the fee. When that's settled, it won't take much time before he signs. You seem pretty convinced agreeing personal terms won't be an issue. I'm not so sure. He may try to use the interest from Inter in his advantage, but I reckon he's set on signing for us. He'll probably want around what Cabaye earns (pure assumption), and I can't see us denying him that.

  4. Do you miss Italy? Would you join Inter again? You've been linked to Rome. Would you join Milan? Someone wants him back in Italy.
  5. He was. The "skipping of training" is old news. Debuchy, almost a week ago: “What I want to do is leave. I won’t be with the squad to start training tomorrow. I wanted a whole month to recuperate.”
  6. Of course not, he simply wants to follow his girlfriend to Newcastle.
  7. Canales is fucking class like. And such a beauty, man.

2 million prize money For the pre-season tournament winner, aye. At least, that's what RTG seems to think. Aye, was reported in the local press as well.

    Douglas

Meh. More concerned they'll be offering him a bigger wage. Especially West Ham.
  10. Don't understand why we're so aggressive in the recruitment of Carroll. Rodgers doesn't want to play him, Carroll would love to come here. Just await the situation ffs.
  11. Well, in the sense of being concerned about us not matching the bid, aye. He'll choose us over them if we do.

#NUFC and Mathieu Debuchy trending worldwide.
  13. Ben Lyttleton ‏@benlyt #Debuchy tells L'Equipe #NUFC offered €5m for him. 'I don't know how much Lille want, but I'm a defender, it need not be crazy money.' It better happen, like.
  14. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,73942.50.html Weeks before the £35m bid was made. I think a lot of it was down to the fact most people were pretty suspicious of Ahsley's plans still at that time and just didn't want players out the door, but there was definitely a lot rating him in the £30+ bracket. Also, it was a local talent going to f***ing Liverpool (on the last day of the transfer window). People were rightfully p*ssed, although in hindsight it worked out a lot better than many/most expected.
  15. George Caulkin ‏@CaulkinTheTimes Spoken to #Nufc re Carroll: reluctant to move from season loan with option. They don't think #lfc will do business with them on those terms.
  16. http://twitpic.com/a8eznp "Liverpool will not sell Carroll for less than £20m[...]" See you some other window then. Because you will, eventually.
  17. I'd have Carroll back for £10m, but if we have that kind of money available for one player, I would love for us to be after Dries Mertens. Fantastic little speedy winger. Would be perfect in the role Ba had last year.
  18. LiverpoolScout ‏@LiverpoolScout The only way I see Carroll moving back to Newcastle is in a deal with cash (£10m) + Yohan Cabaye, Demba Ba or Hatem Ben Arfa. No, really, he's serious.
