We're open for a signing of a striker again, according to Douglas in Sunday Sun. Hopefully nothing to do with Ba Also a defender, who "is going to be under 26 years" is beeing mooted.
-
There's definitely something in the contract which is a worry, reading tweets from Scott Wilson and Mark Douglas. They seem calm enough though. Not very worried.

New quotes, but nothing new as such, I guess. Anyway - Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa: "I am flattered by the interest from the French champions, but there is no agreement between the clubs, so I am still here with Montpellier," he told Sky Sports. "Newcastle are interested? Well it means my performances have crossed the country. "My dream league has always been the Premier League, so you never know. "But for me if Montpellier have to agree a fee with a team, then who knows? But I would love to play one day in England."
-
Pardew: "I want to see much more from Ben Arfa. " Really gets on my nerves that line. Sure, he's got more to him than what we've seen so far, but for gods sake - Obertan is playing day in day out, doing next to nothing.

Eh? he was being praised by them for leading by example when they won 6 out of 7 games 1-0 a few weeks ago. Has stepped up to the plate as captain, apparently. Hm. Fair enough. Guess he's picked up then. http://community.manutd.com/forums/p/202060/1813424.aspx http://community.manutd.com/forums/p/199143/1784813.aspx

Evra is heavily critized by Man U fans of late in general though.
-
Woop! He will also be out for the season because of a ruptured cruciate ligament. Done deal then.
-
British based seemingly.
-
Hardly "class" for two seasons. Saylor is the better player. Simple as that, really.
-
Not sure if it's to piss oldtype off or not, but Park really isn't an abomination. 13 goals for Monaco when they went down is pretty decent tbf. In any case he should get the chance ahead of Chamakh who has proven he's not up to the Prem.

JasonPrior1 Jason Prior Absolutely surreal situation! Thanks for all your support means a lot! @rocks1883 #jp9 #Newcastle

We're finished in France then?
-
Aye. Born in 1988 in December 20. according to his facebook.
-
Certainly signals the end for Tioté in any case.
-
Taking "doing it on the cheap" to the extreme. Would be funny if he was our only signing.
-
Tiote in front of that and that's arguably one of the leagues best defensive units. With Saylor, Williamson, Simpson and Raylor as backups we would finally have depth. Still seems like wishful thinking mind. You reckon? Never going to happen.

http://www.insidefutbol.com/2011/12/28/newcastle-move-back-in-for-lyon-man-aly-cissokho/55219/ "English Premier League outfit Newcastle United have already made a bid for Lyon left back Aly Cissokho ahead of the official opening of the winter transfer window, according to French radio station RMC." Old news in a shoddy site? Really can't see it anyway.

I wouldn't call the club trying to address a serious weakness in our squad depth a defeatist attitude. We need both a striker and a defender. There shouldn't be talk about one or the other.
-
Thing is though, we'll maybe get an average defender.
-
What a weird comment. Of course we can continue to complain. If just to let some steam out.
-
Ashley, man. Ambitions - fuck that.

"Newcastle fans abuse Andy Carroll vs Liverpool" Yes.
