i can see why, when his knee blows up we'll be starting shola every week and all the good work we've done building a team will count for nothing as he uselessly surrenders possession over and over again. cant we just bring in someone with a decent pedigree and a good injury record too? it's not like we're skint enough to have to try and bring free transfers in. he'd be a good addition but no way should he be our starting number 9 next season.

he needs to be replaced though, and i dont mean cabaye. he needs to be replaced by a goal scoring midfielder, we cant keep relying on kids when we get the inevitable injury pile up What he needs is to stay. Well I'd imagine Tiote is a guaranteed starter for you lads and can't imagine you paying £60k a week for this Cabaye lad to sit on the bench so unless you're planning on playing 3 in centre midfield I'd say he was Nolan's replacement. 3 good center midfielders-ish should be a bare minimum. I'd like to think we are looking to build, not replace. But then again - Ashley is still in charge. Edit: If you mean replace in the sense that Cabaye will prefered in the starting eleven, then I agree.
