But we have a foreign team... Only because the English players cost too much money still get cheap coaches hanging around these days.
-
Ashley is not going to hire a foreign coach in, howay be realistic man. We went from Hughton to Pardew ffs, if he wanted a foreign coach, we would have had one by now.

First half we couldn't get to grips with the game at all, I still think we looked the more likely to win it in the second. Did we though Ian? We huffed and puffed a bit, but we never threatened the goal at all, to me we didn't look like winning because we created f*** all, and you need to create to score goals. We would maybe have been slightly lucky to actually win it, but we were definitely the better team IMO. A draw would probably have been the fairest result overall. FINALLY!!! HALLELUJAH!!

Sorry, yeah Sunderland battered and raped us for the full 90, they deserved their win and we are worse than them and we will get relegated again, barn pot Sorry fella, you might think of yourself as some really positive upbeat fan, that can see good in any situation . . . . But to the rest of the living world you just come across as a complete demented mentalist. Your grasp on the game of football is so staggering it's untrue. There was nothing to take from that game on Sunday at all. We were never "in control" of that s**** match at all, we did not pass it around well, we did not create chances of any kind of note. Now stop being so f***ing weird and scaring the f*** out of the younger posters you loon. I though a draw was a fair result, so i'm a barn pot and my grasp of the game is staggering. Honestly man, some people act like we got an absolute hiding on Sunday when it was far from the case.

But it was only the game before that where we didn't fold either against Cardiff and showed were would stand up and fight for the points if needed. Then game before that against Everton, I’m sure people expected it to be 5 or 6 after the first 45 yet there we were looking for an equaliser to make it 3-3 in the closing minutes. The group hasn’t showed like they don’t care or aren’t motivated in recent weeks and I don’t believe that was the case on Sunday, we just lacked ideas on how to break Sunderland down and that’s Pardew’s fault. Don't talk about your pops like that.

It's the same players that were getting credit for their motivation against Liverpool though? Did Pardew just give them some amazing speech before that game then lose his script prior to the derby. I didn't see any less motivation, it was a game which wasn't suiting us tactically due to their early goal as they just sat back and that's where we struggle, which is Pardew's fault. We shouldn't look so disorganized and lacking any sort of effective game plan in breaking a side down when those players have the talent to do so if utilized correctly. Pardew needs to take the brunt of the blame for this as although our football has got better this season and we aren’t just going long constantly, we still haven’t found a forward line which can carve out chances which is looking a major problem at this present time. We are relying too much one of our main players (Remy/BenArfa/Cabaye) to produce a moment of magic to win us games when this should be far from the case.
-
Perhaps, but that's a disgrace in itself. They have lost 6 on the bounce conceding 3 or more in 5 of them. I totally agree, i said before the game i'm not sure a draw would be good enough and i think it was SanToon possibly that i argued with when he said ‘he would take a draw in every derby game’ which i was shocked at because we should be looking the beat them on the majority of occasions. Even on Sunday they showed just how bad they were which infuriates me even more that we ended up losing.

What a horrible approach to look at football. You conceded more goals then they did, so you deserve to lose. If I’m a neutral watching a game of football and I see a team give it their all in trying to break down a team but then other team break away and grab a late winner, am I f*** giving them any credit for a deserved win. I still refuse to believe Chelsea were worthy winners of the Champions League, they couldn’t ride their luck like that if they tried. So, if by some miracle granted by the Gods of football, we managed to get to the final of a major competition where we played Man U and won by Cabaye hitting one of his specials into the top corner in the 89th minute, despite the fact that they spent 80 of the previous minutes battering us, you would be quite happy to hand over the trophy to Man U on the grounds that 'they played better than us'....?? Don't say you would because you will finally destroy any remaining credibility you still have as a poster. Games are won by scoring goals - one Brian Clough, himself a prolific striker, once said 'it only takes a second to score a goal'..he also said that he scored as many with his backside as his head but it didn't matter because they all count as long as they go in..... Course you wouldn't hand the cup over but you would be laughing your tits off that you've just stole the game after being battered

They were the home side, they hardly attacked us, just sat back after an early goal, we changed formation after 10 minutes and took control of the game. I don't think either side showed more motivation than the other, we sat back and done the same to Liverpool, it's not motivational, it's just far easier to look like your working harder when you are sitting deep closing down moves, cutting out the space. If a player can't get himself motivated for a derby game, he doesn't deserve to be in football, you shouldn't need a manager for that type of game to get you up for it, you should question your own character if you fail to do that yourself. It's the so called easier games where complacency can set where a manager should get players motivated for, a derby should come natural to their fire in the belly. I’m not moving on my stance that I thought a draw would have been fair, when their second flew in, I felt sick and I felt robbed as up until then I was still in the belief we would be the ones to go on and get the winner, never even contemplated them scoring again. Even the mackem lad I know doesn’t think they deserved to win and is still worried by their performance for being on the back foot so long at home. If they battered us and raped us, i would be tearing in to the players for rolling over and letting them do that but they didn’t, they took the early goal on the chin and went in seek of an equaliser, then a winner.

Awful. He's always quick to agree with whatever he's told to so why have sympathy? What should he do? Join an internet forum and troll people. Obviously. So basically you haven't got an answer to what he should do, probably other than the same old 'he should just resign'. It's his boss, local press have been banned and Pardew can't do a single thing about it, totally out of his hands. Nah mate you're right, he should sit there, say nothing in reprobate, and just continue to do the job he's clearly not qualified to do whilst simultaneously having the p*ss taken out of him by his employers. It's certainly the most noble thing to do. So what should he have said once that woman interupted? Should he have ignored her, and just answered Lee's question anyways? Walk out of the press room? I'm not sure what people expected him to do differently at that moment in time? If his boss has put a gagging order on certain press members for whatever reason, he just has to follow that if he likes it or not.

Thought as much.

I'm not taking it as a positive, i'm just not going overboard on the reactions because a 20 yarder flew into the top corner. I thought Shola had beat Westwood with his long range effort moments before that, they got the lucky break and took it. These things can happen, it just hurts a lot more because we’ve just lost a derby with a poor display to a side who were even worse than us for large periods of the game.

Well if he did say that or to that effect, i agree with him. I thought they had a period of about 5 minutes when they just started to get a foot hold back in the game but then we were just starting to take control again when Tiote gave away the free kick and they countered from it. Once we scored though I really fancied us to go on win the game at the time.

Not for me like, thought it was looking like would only be us going on to score again after our goal, didn't imagine them scoring again for a single second.

I don't think anybody can defend the fact to why we didn't beat that awful side. They were the worst i've seen this year and we still ended up losing. Absolute joke but i still think the mackems will go down as even though they got the 3 points, they didn't deserve them and those kind of strikes won't be flying in every week for them.
-
Passing it around them up to the box and having a few long rangers is no good man when they have the worst defence in the league. They had the much better chances. Dummet standing off and allowing Altiadoredore to nip in between him and Krul.Borini's meg of Krul before he scored. Before the first goal Krul was at full stretch to make a save from someone too. EDIT: Our best chance was a near own goal minutes from the end. I didn't think neither team created anything, both teams were relatively restricted to long range efforts but we were far better at keeping the ball then them, just once we moved the ball into the final 3rd our movement was terrible and never stretched them enough. Thought it was an awful game but we didn't deserve to lose and a draw would have been fair. Some people may think Sunderland were good value for their 3 points, that's entirely their own judgement. I just didn't see it that way, once we scored i thought we would go on to win it but it wasn't to be. No good looking by now thinking what might have been or could have been, tough games coming up fast and best to concentrate on them now. I've given you examples of what the Mackems did create though so you can't say they didn't do that. All were better chances than ours, so if anyone deserved the points it was them. They were rank anaarl. I would hope we are looking back at performances to learn from them. Our mistake was not looking back at the 3 nowt enough to see what a derby is about and taking revenge. You've mentioned Altidore nipping in as a chance, he wasn't even in control of the ball at any point. Was a nervy moment which was over in seconds. Krul did make an outstretched save but that was from a long ranger, Borini's was a decent chance but Krul made a hash of it really. I thought both sides carved out a couple of half chances at best, we had long range efforts, so did they, just one of theirs flew into the top corner, hard to take but it can happen. Without having to read through the rest of your mind-boggling posts, are you defending us for not beating a team with 1 point so far this season? I'm not defending the fact they didn't win the game, no. That performance didn't deserve to win any football match.

Sigh.. Yes, obviously a buyer is ultimately needed for the club to no longer be owned by Ashley, but that doesn't mean there is nothing we can do except wait. We can make life really uncomfortable for him, making it more appealing for him to up sticks and lowering his asking price. Also, when the club is in turmoil the club could well also be otherwise more attractive to certain types of prospective buyers iyam. or it could put off buyers, they weren't exactly queuing up last time it was for sale and the club was in chaos. They were put off by the asking price. which isn't going to change He appears a sensitive soul, who knows what might happen if people start calling him nasty names on a regular basis again. he's also a guy who's amassed a very large amount of money and ignored plenty of media criticism about his primary business I don't think nasty names will change much about the asking price If everyone stops putting money into the club, it's worth less. Never going to happen though is it? We will always put money in to the club. You will, aye. Hey, this is the first season i've refused to buy the shirt, progress. A minor one at that, but still
