Shocking performance that. Very fortunate to come away with 3 points. The camp nou is going to be a painful watch in a few weeks time.

What work rate? Well if there's one positive of Colback, he puts a shift in with his needless amount of running around that he does. Absolute myth. Mind you having said that, if Rafa can utilise this useless t*** somehow in a winning side, then i'll have no complaints whatsoever. Definitely not a myth. Amount of times he's way out position due to chasing the ball around in stupid areas of the pitch is staggering. It's a myth that Colback "puts in a shift," not that he runs around needlessly. Surely if you're running around a lot and putting the effort in, your work rate can't really be questioned. I detest Colback with a passion, along with Dummett but their commitment and work rate, I can't question that. They are just awful players. I don't watch Colback and think he's not trying or being lazy. More often than not i'm baffled to why he's chasing down the ball in stupid areas and leaving gaping holes in the middle of the park. He hides behind his own f***ing teammates man. I don't give a s*** how much he runs each game, he's not 'putting in a shift' purely by doing so. He's not a contributor. No need to tell me what he does and doesn't do. Hiding is when we are in possession, work rate isn't a factor then as much. Without possession he's the one looking to press every fucker on the pitch if he can including the GK, that's a huge problem for us. It costs us massively. When at left back last Saturday, he was closing down Bournemouth centre backs in possession of the ball Rafa needs to fuck him off, but I feel that he'll appreciate Colback but I hope I'm wrong.

Really don't understand what Martinez is playing at with Deulofeu on the bench often in recent times. Should be one of the first on the team sheet. Class act.

'Positive' is probably the wrong word to use there actually

Downside to Benitez, he'll love Colback and his work rate. Can't see him budging out the side under Rafa unless we get to the summer safe and he purchases his own players. If Colback is completely bumped from the off, then Benitez instantly goes right up in my estimations of him.
-
Hated him why? Genuine question. Only time I saw him was when he was trying to rally the dafties on the pitch pre-match once. Bit like Cathro in sense he could be absolutely brilliant or dog shit for all I know. It was more his little grins and smiles similar to McClaren when things aren't all rosey that just done my head in. Won't be seeing him on the pitch arms around their shoulders, laughing and joking anymore.
-
Pleased he's kept Cathro at the club. He could be utter dog shite for all I know but he's highly rated and has talked sense when he's spoke in his interviews. Hated that Steve Black though so glad he's been sacked off.
-
There's something wrong with you, lad. Each to their own. If i detest the bloke, hardly going to be jumping for joy. His CV speaks for himself, he's world class and he gives us a great chance of staying up. For now that's the most important thing.
-
always said I'd be happy for Pardew to go if we got Ashley to appoint a top class manager. Just never had faith him to do so. We ended up with McClaren which is kind of what I feared. Thankfully this time he may have got it right. Bielsa would have been my big money choice. I've just never liked Benitez. Didn't want him at Madrid, he was quickly found out there but this is a big step down and he should be able to get us out this mess which is all we need at this point.
-
Absolutely detest the bloke however he is a world class manager and the best we could ever hope for at this point. Just slagged him off for the past few month at Madrid because his negativity is painful but right now we need results and he should get them. He wouldn't be in my top three and I'm not massively excited over this appointment but if we pull this off it will be the biggest relief we've not appointed some cheap English cunt once again.

Sensible option isn't an option for Mike Dean. He loves the centre of attention, like. Probably knew he would be talked about a lot if he gave an early red.
-
Haven't seen it, but surely if a Red is a Red it doesn't matter when it is in the game? Two yellows this early in the game, wasn't malicious or anything. Don't think West Brom would have kicked up too much of a fuss if it was just a final warning.
-
I don't think there's need to get reds out this early in a game. He was late but a ticking off and a final warning would have been the sensible option imo.

Useless cunt

Sturridge and Coutinho ASAP
-
I'm not sure that was at him tbh. Was a lot of confusion when Perez ran over to the bench like he was the one coming off
-
One of the best CM's in the league. Love watching him play, he's glorious.

Colback was getting the dogs abuse where I was yesterday Yup, particularly after the f***ing shocking pass that led to their first. Doesn't fit in with the daft Geordies hating forrins agenda on here though. Colback has been subbed a couple of times and he's never received that sort of reaction that Sissoko got yesterday. Totally different just a few people shouting at a player. I mean the corner were genuinely singing 'Champions League you're having a laugh' at Sissoko after 10 minutes or so and then again when he was subbed off. I thought it was awful support yesterday pretty much from kick off. Any misplaced pass or error was greeted with moans and groans.
-
The reaction to him being subbed yesterday was grim. Showed how thick our fans are tbh. Colback hasn't even had a fraction of that sort abuse by our fans.

Bolasie and Adebayor causing all sorts of problems for Liverpool. Not looking good.
