  1. The players need to take responsibilty for that as well. Their attitude seemed poor imo, was a far cry from their attitude to the likes of Benfica and Anzhi. I think they themselvs thought they could cruise past Cardiff. Once that goal went in by Noon i think it was, they just couldn't get the energy or spirit levels back up to perform. Pardew failed to lift them from the sidelines or make changes to turn that attitude around either.
  2. Is that you declaring that you're English? Andy Murray would find that talk disgraceful.
  3. Yet now we are moaning Cisse was playing and not Remy. You look at the line ups that round, how many literally played full strength, not a single player rested/dropped. The team selected was more than good enough to beat Cardiff, the tactics of the match weren't. Simple as. Why are you ignoring the fact that Cisse was our best striker in Jan 2013, which wasn't at all the case 12 months later? Because he's not going to get back to that striker if he's sitting on the bench? Cisse needs to play games, a cup game at home to Cardiff was a good opportunity imo. Had no complaints with seeing him start.

  5. Debuchy was suspended i think, Krul had a shoulder injury, Cabaye had an ankle injury, and fair enough Remy was on the pitch and could be argued should have played but then fan favourite Ben Arfa probably wouldn't have played. How f***ing gullible are you? Do you want to buy some snake oil I've got? If you watched the West Brom, you could see Cabaye struggling. You were too busy probably screaming 'Pardew die' to notice that though. We had used all our subs and Cabaye was f***ed. He misses the next game and we doubt he's injured. Like i say with Krul, that's a non-issue, nearly all managers play their reserve keeper in cup comps, nothing out of the ordinary there. My only complaint is that he could have started Remy but we had Ben Arfa playing so i wasn't fussed too much and was happy to give Cisse a chance. How come you gave Pardew a pass for the derby because Remy was out then? A pass? Didn't give any player or manager a pass for that performance. Unlike you Wullie, when they lose i look to blame them collectively, when they win i like to praise them collectively. You love the players when we win and fill them with praise then just hate on the manager when we lose. That is being unfair.

  8. Coming from the one who is denying they were injured like they know for sure he was perfectly fine to play, give over man

  10. I assumed that was fairly f***ing obvious, clearly not to Brett. The manager said it was ok to get completely battered by sunderland because Cabaye and Remy weren't in the team, yet we're meant to believe that he put a perfectly strong side out in the cup. He can't have it both ways. Cabaye was injured, got injured in the game prior to Cardiff but of course you'll not have that.
  11. Fair enough, but then you'll get into the whole 'he wasn't injured' sort of debate. Regardless of one/two players, when i seen that team prior to kick off, especially with HBA playing i was happy. Had no problems with the team sheet, ben arfa in the 10 role i did have a problem and his tactics in general. Fair enough we scored our scrappy goal, looked likely to be going through. However once Eliot made his howler to gift them back in it, our attitude in response to that was pathetic, players and manager need stick for that. They didn't wake up at all because the pace of the game which they set was painful and they couldn't go through the gears when needed to go on and win.
  12. You'll not mind if Remy and Krul are dropped for most of the rest of the season then? Just bring them in when we reckon we need them? Fucking pushing it with two players, like. One a keeper as well, the position in which nearly every single manager in the league rotates for cups.
  13. Agreed. So why do you rate Pardew again? Not sure rate is the word, just think he’s a bang average manager. He's not the worlds worst like people make out. He's very fortunate to be in the job he is and he'll never get a job as big as this again though i fancy him now to be around a lower level PL club once he's left here, and that’s imo his limit. Low PL or high championship, around the Hughton marker.
  14. So why do you want him dropped when this is bang on, if he stays fit of course.
  15. How come everyone who comes against Pardew and won, they've tactically outwitted him because he's shit, yet if Pardew gets his number over a manager, nothing is made of it? It’s load of horseshit, like. Who is the better manager should be decided over a decent stint of a career, not one or two matches against each other.
  16. I thought Lineker nailed it with his tweet during Spurs/Chelsea 'Gob smacked by Spurs' formation. Have the players taken a lucky dip for their positions?' It looked exactly that, was very strange from Sherwood. You wouldn't have gathered he was in the wrong as well by his interview mind.
  17. Btw when i brought up Gerrard for the comparison, i think he should be starting and i think he should be captain too. Was just pointing out there wasn't only Rooney didn't perform at major tournaments, there were others with just as high repuatations who failed to deliver. If we have viable options to replace them with, which Lampard is finding out, then yes but if not we shouldn't be dropping them simply because their form has been poor on the big stage. Play and pray, play and pray...
  18. Maybe the FA could offer him a pay rise, that seems to work a treat. I'm sure they've had sneaky incentive bonuses every tournament, hasn't done much good. People are slating Rooney for past tournaments but are forgetting our current skipper and midfield general has failed to serve up anything either. Should we drop him as well? Gerrard was one of if not the best players England had at the Euros What about the rest of them? Does he not get a media slating along with Lampard every single MT? Only player who has consistently come out with credit in MT's is Ashley Cole, and it's his place that is coming most under threat
  19. Don't take it so seriously, man. The same poster thinks Ben Arfa's better. Just daft bias. The bashing of Rooney is over the top in here. God damn it, he's the best player in the national team. It's completely mental. Given our lack of alternatives to Rooney, i find it outrageous

  21. I can understand peoples worries over him and his MT record but the lack of options to fulfill someone of his class is huge. You want Rooney full of confidence going in to the tournament, not popping him on the bench where we've seen for Man Utd his head can drop. Playing all season then getting to WC and seeing someone who was bench warming behind you at club level now starting ahead of you in the WC. Sickening, you'd be wanting to go home
  22. Crouch has a very impressive goals record for England... Well Rooney probably has treble whatever Crouch has at least. Don't starting backing up Pilko's 'different option' talk How many has Rooney scored in tournaments since Euro 2004? Major tournaments have been a mess. England on the whole have though. Could understand if we were getting to semi's and finals and he's being carried. In the WC he looked so off the pace it was unreal, he wasn't match fit. Yet that's down to lack of options, if we had a pool of talent like Spain/Argentina have, you can look at different options. We don't have different options good enough to sacrifice someone like Rooney, hence why he's playing major tournaments half fit.

  24. I think he's also scored more competitive goals than any other player for England. Not that it matters, like.
  25. I'm not backing him to take tourney by storm or anything, i think he's been made the scapegoat for England's past failings. Problem isn't Rooney, it's England. If we had genuine top players fighting for his place, i'd be sided with trying something different. Our options are so limited though, there shouldn't even be a debate for Rooney or Welbeck. Even Moyes can work that one out.
