Have you ever played football in a team that is really bad, where you've had to defend for ages and chase the other team about, hacking the ball away from dangerous areas most of the time? It tends to make you very very tired and it affects your use of the ball a lot. The whole team starts looking far worse. No idea why anyone is surprised by how awful any of the players are looking with the ball. We don't seem to be able to string two passes together man, like, not at all.
