Good thinking Pardew
-
Decent amount of saves .. he won't be playing Man City week in week out though. Think I'll splash the extra 500k and stick with Krul as backup.
-
Vorm might be a decent option too.
-
Just put him in mine.
-
Was happy with having to decide on one transfer a week, I've confused myself now :/
-
66 points, everyone having played. Scared to make subs though, had the next few weeks planned out.
-
55, not too shabby .. Cahill carried my team.
-
Because he is world-class against the scum
-
Based on yesterday's performance, I'd like to see us line up like this against the scum: http://www.footballuser.com/Formations/2011/08/186826_Newcastle_United.jpg Bench: Harper, Williamson, Marveaux, Vuckic, Ba.

41, Rooney © and Cleverley to play.

Looked good in pre-season for Man U, should be a good outlet for us. dsgdsgdfgdfgdfg

Player(s) in Player(s) out Taarabt Sessegnon Cabaye Dempsey Rooney Van Persie Carroll Ba Rodallega Odemwingie Not a Kalou

If he didn't want to come, the deal wouldn't be ongoing.
-
Menez looks like a great player, can't understand why we weren't in for him.
-
Loads of moderately priced forwards with a good goal to minute ratio and decent potential if they get enough minutes, it's hard to know who to choose. Ba, Fletcher, Sturridge, Beckford, Saha, Best, Zamora, Tchoyi ()

Wish I'd thought of "Good group of lads"

I've spent my 4.5m on Steven Taylor Still tweaking the team, took Colo out for him. He will get you goals... but will give away pens & get red cards too My Current backline scored 19 goals last season Huth, Hangeland, Samba, Taylor .. then Kompany in for some security/consistency, might get rid of him though.

That said, I'm loving how undervalued the rest of our midfield is (provided we get a striker in who can finish the chances they provide), they should all be atleast 1m more expensive due to the Tiote effect.
-
Can't understand how 33,000 people have put Tiote in their team, is that 33,000 people that don't understand how the points system works?

Only started half way through last time. Here's my current team, but it'll probably change a million times before the start of the season: http://i51.tinypic.com/2z6crkk.png

Think Ben Arfa's that tbf. The only creative area I'd want to stengthen is a right sided player that is direct and can dribble to offer something different to/replace Barton. You've basically described Jonas except that he's not limited to only the right side. Needless to say that he turns world-class whenever there's competition for his place.

Please buy Lukaku.

This chat and the stuff that Dave keeps spouting (onto a lower priced striker, option Z, etc.) - would some people be happier if we didn't try and aim for the likes of Gaimero and just went straight for a league 1 striker who'd be desperate to come here? While we don't have European football (and haven't had for the past 5 years), we're still going to be a lesser draw for established/proven top league strikers throughout Europe. We can counter-act this by: a) signing unproven strikers, who are young with something about them - we can sell them the "stepping stone" idea (with an aim to regaining our European place while they're still on the books) b) throw lots of money at them with big wages and signing on fees (leading to wage-inflation throughout the club, see 2007-10 as an example) c) sign lesser players who might have a point to prove/questionable temperament or commitment (not ideal for squad harmony) d) just signing more centre midfielders
