  1. It's Liverpool's dodgiest game left for sure.

If they fail to win tonight it could knock the stuffing out of them - 8/9 points to overhaul in 6 games is extremely difficult. If we then went on to beat Everton they're completely out of it.

However I do think they'll win and it'll give them confidence going into 3 home games in 6 days next week. It's a huge game for us.

Getting my youngin's bubble wand out as we speak.

  2. £3765 for me if they come up, plus an additional £1620 if we miss out on the Top 4 and they come up, from £20 total stakes.

I'll be very tempted if I see my cash-out get anywhere near to £1500!

  3. Liverpool have 3 home games in 6 days next week, which will probably put some pressure on us leading up to Arsenal at home. I'd expect them to win all 3, so it's massively important we get at least 4 points from Everton & Southampton.

Could really do with West Ham getting a result tomorrow - I think that should end their push.

Really don't want it to go to the final day. I'm going to Chelsea and would happily see us play the kids or something.

  4. Convinced myself that they're going up and actually think they will, tbh. Only Boro can stop them imo. It's not that Sunderland are exceptionally good, the other teams around them are shite and in no form going into the play-offs.

They do seem to be better than the rest though, aside from Boro/Luton. Boro over 2 legs would be hard but not impossible.

if I've got it wrong re the volume,

Definitely not  I've got tinnitus from it I think. Ridiculous.

Movin on Up is absolutely fine, play that. Fitting too.

  6. Feel canny harsh criticising anything at the minute but after the Man Utd & Spurs wins, why the fuck does the DJ fella think it's a good idea to play DJ fucking Otzi man

Either Movin on Up or fuck all. Ana it's the Shearer/Wilson rip off song, but it sounds like a Year 3 disco ffs.

  7. Definitely Liverpool the only team I'm worried about, but we need 13 points to actually guarantee finishing above them. Being ultra conservative;

    Everton (A) 1

    Southampton (H) 3

    Arsenal (H) 1

    Leeds (A) 1

    Brighton (H) 1

    Leicester (H) 3

    Chelsea (A) 1

That's 11, so if Liverpool drop points in 1 game then it should be enough. Realistically we will beat at least one of Everton, Leeds, Arsenal, Brighton & Chelsea, so 13 points (at least) should be a piece of piss.

  8. Rough today like. You honestly could go to a match every day for the next 50 years and never get a 20 minutes like that. It was utterly surreal. The noise after 2-0 was something else, after that it was just like what on earth is going on.

Feel like a right greedy bastard but gutted we didn't score at least 7

Can't fucking wait for next Sunday now man, we can and should win all of our home games. Definitely including Arsenal.

  9. Honestly the most nervous I’ve ever been for a long time tomorrow, including the cup final. I sort of wish we were underdogs.

I do irrationally think Liverpool will win every game, so 16 points needed. 7 this week would be a fantastic start.

If it comes down to that fucking Carvalho goal in August man.

They are done. I even mentioned after the double collapse with the two nil leads that it would affect them in the match today. I just saw it coming.

I quite agree. I do think Man City will definitely drop points in a game (or two), but I really have the feeling we will do Arsenal at home.

Weirdly more confident for that game than I am for Everton away next week

We've had 13 from the last 8. We should replicate that as a base.

15 is it not? Won 5 on the bounce.

7 from Spurs, Everton & Southampton will see us probably needing 5 or 6 points from final 5 games, including Leicester & Leeds. No reason why we can't get at least 9 from final 5.

  12. Aye the teams around them are pretty shite and not in good form at all, Sunderland seem to have a bit momentum now.

3 hard games to end the season mind, huge game for them at West Brom on Saturday.

5-6/1 with the bookies to get top 4. Probably worth a dabble.

Could get 12/1 before they played last night. Although at 5-6/1, you'd probably be better off backing them week-to-week and rolling your coin over.

  14. Really wish it was 16:30 as I always worry with earlier kick offs that the atmosphere is lacking a tad. Given the magnitude of the game it shouldn't matter, but it does tend to at St James.

If we play like we did against Man Utd at home then we should batter these. They're vulnerable, boring and frankly a mess. I have a feeling the crowd will be nervy if we give away a few chances but we really need to back them for the 90 minutes. An early goal and I see these crumbling.

Massive 7 days. We will have a much better picture at 19:00 on 30/04. 7 across the 3 should see us right.

    We wont finish fourth

Unlikely but I see you as the biggest threat just due to how the fixtures have fell for you. I'm not worried about Spurs (will change if they beat us Sunday of course). Brighton are fantastic but it'll take some effort from them to get the required points given the teams they have left to play. I will applaud them through gritted teeth if they manage it. Similar with Villa, I just don't think they'll maintain their form to really worry NUFC or Spurs.

I know you've been very inconsistent this season but I still think you have the players capable of going on a mad run ala 2021. Given you have experience in hunting I genuinely am concerned that you will at least take it to the final couple of games. We need 14 points to finish above you, that's if you win every game. I'll breathe a lot easier if we beat Spurs on Sunday!

Think I’m more nervous about it this season due to it being totally unexpected, and I think it’s going to be much harder to do next season.

This is exactly it for me. Next season Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea will all be improved you'd think, plus Villa will be competitive under Emery for sure.

It's a huge opportunity to skip a few chapters and fast-forward the 'project' if we get top 4 this season. Granted, I'd have snapped your hand off and probably rimmed Steve Bruce for ANY Europe this season, but the fact we have the chance to hear that sweet anthem at St James' next season is too much

I do think Liverpool will only drop points in one or maybe two games, but it won't be against Spurs. They'll win all their home games, I just pray they aren't a point or two behind us going into the final game when they have Southampton away. A shame there was an 8-goal swing in goal difference this weekend too. Could be big.

Maybe it's because of how good they have been under Klopp for the majority of his tenure, but I'm infinitely more worried about them than anyone else.
