Just got back. Utterly astonishing how toothless we are in front of goal and how lacking in ideas we are. The first half was good, but our pattern of play was always the same; roll out from keeper to left back > left back pass to cb > cb pass to right back > right back overlaps > cross into first man. We have nobody in midfield to produce a killer pass forward. We have nobody who can cross a ball properly and then we have nobody who can finish either. Taking Mbabu off was stupid as well, was he injured? Didn't see him go down. Lascelles is an utterly woeful player, Sunday League stuff him. Literally kicked the fucking floor instead of the ball on one occasion. He's dire. Overall, Watford were pretty shit and didn't trouble us much, but as usual we shoot ourselves in the foot with a horrible mistake and then don't have the ingenuity to create or force a chance. We're so fucked.

The only one I can think of who recently did anything from Chelsea academy is Jack Cork
