The prevailing thought I have of Longstaff from last season was him coming on, looking slow as shit physically and of the mind. He'd want an eternity to pick out a sideways pass, and then he'd flop over when put under tiny amounts of pressure.
It was incredibly frustrating and we absolutely had to sell, based off of the fact that he wasn't able to perform the task we needed from him.
I'm delighted he's regained his confidence and doing a job there, he was class for us on a number of occasions, got a CL goal for us and a trophy. Not too bad at all.
