The midfield completely ran out of legs in the second half after such an intense first 45 and we had nobody to bring on there other than Anderson. It’s not a smart move to go into the last 19 games like this.

I guess we will see whether he’s improved in the holding role the next few games.

Yet another reason to sign Maddison this month was that there'll be loads of team in for him in the summer with 1 year left on his contract.

Yeah, both teams were shocking at passing in the first leg. The pitch was frozen. It was way colder down there than up here iirc.
