  3. Or, yknow, we were interested in him even before signing Bruno and people being aware of their friendship… https://amp.marca.com/en/football/ligue-1/2021/12/21/61c1e4df46163fbf328b45a1.html
  4. https://www.capology.com/club/ac-milan/salaries/ is this roughly correct?
  5. Wut? There are nearly 100 players earning £100k per week or more according to: https://www.capology.com/uk/premier-league/salaries/ (24 of which earn £200kpw or more). Haven’t checked, but what is this like compared to Italy then?
  6. Never heard anyone say that, personally.
  7. Hard to take sides with two unlikeable cunts like this pair
  8. Isn’t this exactly what Harrison is?
  9. and Jesus taking seven months, plus Raphinha talking to Barca for ages beforehand. Transfers occurring within a day or two or even a week is just nonsense. Asked whether they had tracked Jesus for a long time: "For sure. This process really, I think, takes like seven months in terms of understanding each other and talking to each other, because also he has a lot of other opportunities and then he chooses because he understands who we are." "People think we went in too deep about Raphinha, because Raphinha was everywhere. It's fair we did have some conversations with Deco because Deco is his agent and I have a good relationship [with him] - we are friends. "I just said to Deco, 'Can you explain to me the situation with Raphinha?' and he was clear, 'Edu, we have a good relationship but I'm not going to lie to you, his idea is to go to Barcelona because he's dreaming to go to Barcelona, and we've been talking to Barcelona since a long time ago'.
  10. Or Arsenal when Arteta is given the push
  11. If it’s the same squad, then it sounds like you’re going backwards rather than looking up, in fairness?
  12. Big Joe not a fan of Brucey’s training sessions, (un)surprisingly… When asked about the impact Howe has had on Newcastle since arriving, Joelinton said: "A lot of things have improved since the boss arrived. Training sessions have been better and the same goes for the competitiveness in the squad.” "He has also brought a winning mentality to our team: he's very demanding and everyone needs to give everything. The boss doesn't like to see bad passes - that's just in training, let alone in a match!“ “When sessions are tough in training and everyone is really competitive, it becomes normal to replicate that in games. Perhaps we didn't have the same intensity before him.” “There's no magic formula - your performance at the weekend is a reflection of what you've done in the week. Things didn't change straight away, actually. It took some time for him to turn things around. So, it was fantastic to see wins come our way, as well as the deserved recognition for his brilliant work."
  13. He’s not young, and not quality? Plus £200kpw is hardly a bargain.
  14. Structuring deals the same way every other club does = we’re skint. Bizarre.
  15. Maybe? Who knows? Maybe more info came to light? Maybe we had second thoughts about him and his family and just changed our minds?
  16. Or else the scouting committee have decided his off field connections and potential drama isn’t worth pursuing over his on field talent?
  17. It was losing over £1m a week, I think? Their last accounts showed a £145m loss, despite winning the CL, and the accounts declared they were only able to keep going due to money being ploughed in directly by Abramovich via another company. He was losing money massively. The club was sold for more than he paid, yes, but overall he lost over a billion.
  18. Yeah. But it means they have extra cash to play with (as already stated, the Europa league isn’t the best for cash income, no matter how far they went) instead of building their own place or renovating their last stadium.
  19. Or they have extra cash to spend as Joe Public bought their brand new stadium so they didn’t have to.
  20. Wanted to go to Milan I think, but that might be a non starter now that Zlatan has signed an extension. Think he wants to stay in Italy though- Roma and Juve been linked lately.
  21. So he’ll just end up in the MLS or wherever. No big deal for JLinz so long as the cash rolls in.
  22. Yeah, instead of a longer deal on less money elsewhere. Am sure he’ll be rubbing his hands at the thought of yet another signing on fee in a years time.
  23. Higher than our current highest wage though. Who knows if our owners have a wage ceiling at the present moment, and what it is? No transfer fee, but presumably a not insignificant signing on fee.
  24. I presume they will be paying him a signing on fee on top of his wages also, given he was a free agent?
