  1. the way swansea can break in speed and numbers, is a footballing lesson for pardew. today swansea had the game plan of what we had all season, play deep and break, only difference is swansea can break with passes and movement, we just hoof.
  2. goes to show how far up we could climb in this league, if we havent been so shyt all season
  3. every shot we taken further from 15 yards balloons over the bar. is it that difficult to do a low shot?
  4. i said it all along when it matters we cant provide the quality
  5. difference in quality really in terms of chances and finishing. we had more. swansea's were much better . so far.
  6. takes a ban to force Pardew's hands. atleast today he wont be shoe-horning cisse and ba in the starting line-up.
  7. losing my patience with his sales-man type speeches, he's a politicians, tells the people what they want to hear, well he's not pulling the wool over my eyes. he can't use excuses such as lack of financial reasons , thats unacceptable. Most of us can deal with shyte boring but functional football, aslong it gets results, but keep dishing out the same old shyt turgid performances with piss poor results and he will soon know how fast the toon fans can turn the tide on him, and i wont be amongst any of the ones who will feel sorry for the man. I don't care if a player is being payed £100 or £100,000 a week, it's not fucking difficult to tell them how to make a five yard pass , you dont need to be Lionel Messi to be able to pass a simple ball. Fuck we all been in the schoolyards with a fucking tennis ball its not rocket science kicking something around. Fuck off pardew shitter teams on less money are resembling the look of a football team. all we got now is a manager 'coaching' a bunch of men to run around the field trying to impersonate footballers, and most of us arent really convinced.
  8. anita has shown at right back thats he's more than just a DM and i'm hoping as he settles in we see the range of passing and showing for the ball that he reputedly did in holland. Yeah i know but the thing is Anita was at his best for Ajax getting the ball off the CB's and starting plays also in some occasions going into the back 4 when Vertonghen made runs forward. Which would obviously mean Tiote would have to be a bit further forward which he really wouldn't be effective in. What i'm really getting at is that i feel Anita or Tiote alongside a box to box midfielder or deep playmaker would be a much better fit instead of Anita and Tiote. Just have the feeling that long term that their compatibility isn't exactly high just like Ba and Cisse's isn't but for different reasons. Obviously it's the best we can do at the moment though. box to box midfielders are extinct , this is not the 90's when every team played 4-4-2. now its just hard to find a box to box man to fit into pardew's archaic back-to-the-future -4-4-2 i look man utd, chelsea, Ciddy, who are their box to box man?
  9. mustn't forget they had injuries which ment giggs and carrick in the center, hardly the most combative pair man utd could have put out when they had to contend with cabaye and tiote. formations are inconsequential if your manager keeps telling the players to hold their shape and blast it long all day, and the players are getting bored of same pragmatic approach to every game.
  10. doubt it, its not the champions league, thats the platform to put yourself in the shop window or get global recognition.
  11. “I wish I could put my finger on it. We have a side who have already played 17 games and it is proving difficult to get some rhythm going. Away from home we have been solid and dogged, but at home we need to perform better than today. We have only lost four games in those 18, but this hurts.” im freaking scared now, and halloween has already passed, some f*** up s*** this really is from Pardew's quotes. Harrowing.
  12. a former proven recipe? lol oh please, demba played out wide in a handful, two handfuls of games at most, and those limited games got us to 5th? have a longer memory. we played the majority of our games last season in 4-4-2 dont forget. i personally am a big fan of 4-5-1/4-3-3 but you put your most effective most potent scorer out wide. As i said before that was a very different team than this one is and had different strengths and weaknesses. Krul Simpson Saylor Colo Raylor Obertan Cabaye Tiote Jonas Ba Best We didn't have Cisse, Ben Arfa, Santon and Jonas wasn't the player he is now who seems a spent force as a winger. Not to mention Cabaye's obviously at his best as the most advanced of the 3 instead of deep alongside Tiote. This is a totally different team which has different strengths and weaknesses and suits a more 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 type of style. Also that 6 winning streak was just as important as any run that season, without it we probably wouldn't have have even finished above Everton. It became obvious at that time that teams where starting to find us out in 4-4-2 and the change to 4-3-3 made us unpredictable and give us the final push so we could qualify for Europe. Honestly i think this first eleven is far from sorted yet like some assumed at the start of the season ( Danny Simpson last weak link etc etc) On Review we need a RB, CB, CM and LW before we can start talking like that but i do think playing 3 in midfield and actually passing through the midfield instead of completely by-passing it would sort out a lot of the problems. I would love to be able to say drop Cisse he isn't coming up with the goods ( all style of play and system excuses aside) but who do we have to come in? Sammy? i like Sammy and all but is he ready to start every week ? nope not for me. We just don't have the options to freshen the squad up like that, this is going to be probably not well received but if we receive good offers for Tiote and Ba's release clause is met i wouldn't mind that at all if it allows us to go again. As someone said before the summer will be very interesting indeed as we are probably going to lose a few and quite frankly if that happens i hope we turn it into a positive like we did with the whole Carroll, Barton and Nolan fiasco either that or we go backwards again. I do get the feeling that one of Ba or Cisse might have to go though in the long term as i really can't see them flourishing as a partnership and it's too expensive for a club like this to have one of them on the bench every week. if this club is ever going to move forward with success, eventually we are going to have expensive players on the bench, we had them in the past and we most probably will in the future. you say you cant drop Cisse because we cant afford it? regardless of him being completely off the boil and thats ludicrous? Having him in the team, forcefully shoe-horning him and Ba in the same line-up (even yourself mentioning its not working) is actually more of a detriment to our performances and more expensive, every position in the league pays out. personally i dont see it working with them two senegalese in a 4-4-2, or 4-5-1/4-3-3, one must be on the bench. if aston villa can afford to bench Darren Bent (£18 million) when he's off the boil, why can't we put Cisse on the bench once in a while? we got FA cup, europa league games, he has plenty of chances to play himself back in.

You must have freakishly small hands. that all you can add you this ? save your capitals for your cambridge uni application lol this is a football forum, get a life lol

  15. first of all there's no evidence that Ba has given the manager a ultimatum. Not sure why people are so keen on seeing him play outwide considering he is the only striker upfront thats actually scoring goals with limited chances. Your right there isn't but it would be too much of a coincidence for it not to be..... Ba complains about playing outwide and starts throwing his toys out the pram when he was subbed at stages at end of last season, Pardew promises him he will play central this season and his entourage have also complained. It's too much of a coincidence for nothing to have gone on. even if its true, why do you want the boy to play out wide, his scoring chances would be even more limited. It's makes sense to play him in the middle. he's our best striker yet you want to play him outwide, its like AVB playing Defoe or Adebayour outwide, mourinho playing Drogba out wide, Bobby playing shearer outwide. ffs come on.

  17. yeh all match i could hear one of fat Sam's twats screaming "push in! second ball!" Fat Sam's teams are always going to be the masters at 2nd ball it's pointless for us to go long against him. Then again if try to go short, we don't have the quality because the players are so in grained in blasting it long and high, we saw that vs Bruges when we went a goal down, hoof hoof hoof, thats all the players knows.
  18. omg someone that havent seen a barcelona game in their life, watch them ffs. They all pass the ball, the right time the right moment, they pass more than they dribble, and that includes messi, xavi and iniesta. not saying thats the holy grail to success or trophies , but thats a good example of a team of teamplayers. What the f*** are you talking about? Your logic was that Ben Arfa should just pass the ball and move as opposed to using his skill to take people on (see your "run around the corner flag" s****), Messi, like Ben Arfa, will often ghost past 2-3 players before trying to find a team mate, he's just better at it and has better players supporting him. here read and learn from my previous post. "i also thought he was s***, it shocks me how many fans blatently ignore his lack of team play simply because he's technically gifted. he can have all the gift in the world, if he's not a team player he's just a one man clown show. a lot of our counter attacks breaks down due to this guy believe it or not. when on the off chance we get to try a fast break down the right flank, we string one-two passes up the field, when it arrive at HBA's feet he dribbles then stop as he's beginning to be closed down by the opposition, his team mate is waiting for that pass, HBA twist and turn trying to dribble forward again, all the while he has an eternity of time to make that simple pass out. the move is lost, the attack is lost, the momentum is gone, that simple 5 yard pass that Cabaye is usually waiting to receive never arrives. " not saying he should not dribble. a time to dribble and a time to pass. when you're in your own half and you're heading down a blind allyway the wiser thing is to pass, near the oppositions box yes do all the tricks and dribbles.
  19. watch the game again I have no intention of watching that dross again. not even to see how aamazing ben arfa was with his dazzling dribbles?
