most of the time it is when they have phone in to discuss certain view points, but the talk of nufc players getting into lfc was only a 2 minute segment about sunday games, not really a talking point of the show. -

the co presenter started reeling off a load of names he said would get in the scouse team, Ba, cabaye, tiote, colo, krul, hba. and Alvin Martin got really annoyed he was like "hold on a minute, Reina is injured, hba not good enough" -

scouse moron Alvin Martin on talkshyte just said HBA is a good player but he is not sure if he's good enough for Liverpool they were talking about which nufc players would get in the scouse team he wants Ba to partner with Suarez. saying most scouse fans would want that. -
watching west ham these days reminds me of nufc

what? abandoning which tactics that took us to 5th? Tactic this season are exactly the same as last season, keep our shape, stay deep and hit the opposition with long range counter attacks. we are playing the same as last season, only difference is the oppositions are wiser to our game now.

Louise Taylor stirring the pot. Really do hate that bitch why? you really think Liverpool with all their contacts and loud mouths, agents here and there and every where, that it needs some paper troll like Louise Taylor to tell them Demba Ba's has got a release clause? do me a favour. -
No question Jose was a decent left back during his time at our club, but i cant help thinking he was made to look a lot better with Jonas covering his ass and helping him out with a lot donkey work tracking back. It is made more apparently how he look rather average with the less than industrial type wide men he got infront of him at lfc.

because we havent spent like 100 million like they have Neither have Swansea and they play nice pass and move footy. Not to this standard i grant ya. fair point

watching chelski vs man utd , looking at these two teams play and think about our own team, make it seem like we're light years away from ever reaching those heights again. these are two teams that have rested players as well.

Why is Wenger mental?, Ba would never fit into a system like arsenal, their fowards inter-change and move all over the place, most importantly they are comfortable on the ball when they receive it which is used to bring midfielders into play. Ba's strengths are not those attributes. Ba's movement is quality and with his finishing and the chances he'd get at Arsenal he'd score a hatful for them. Plus there's the fact he's quite cheap and Premier League proven. Whereas it will take time for Giroud to settle as we are seeing. what movement are you talking about, him on the ball? we dont see that much, we hardly ever get to see him do 1-2's with our style of play, his movement is great when it comes to running onto the 2nd balls(head-ons, flick-ons, stray passes and loose balls) as a result from mostly longballs and crosses. Something that the gooners dont do very often.

30 goals +? im pretty sure most team above arsenal would had snapped him up already regardless how much he would cost.

Ba's strengths are not those attributes. Eh? Have you seen who Arsenal have upfront? Ba's movement and ability on the ball is superior to Giroud, Walcott, Gervinho and Chamakh. That's without even mentioning all the other things he's better at. they usually play with one man upfront, Ba is a better finisher for sure , but you seriously think he would fit in as the main foward in a arsenal system? he would have to interchange move about, thats not his game, and his ability on the ball is less than average, how often do you see Demba Ba receive a ball and successfully pass to a team mate? not very often. and he's not very good at holding the ball up either. his strengths are getting on the end of long balls and crosses to convert towards goal, something that arsenal dont do very much. dont get me wrong im not calling Ba lazy, because he works hard to chase after the ball when we dont have it. he's a pure poacher and i dont mean it in a derogatory way.

Because it's not in Pardew's nature to play a pass and move game. He's come from low profile teams where the long ball is used effectively to punch above their weight similar to Sam Allardyce. He does try and incorporate some passing, but it's mostly just impressive talk. It doesn't look like we practice it on the pitch at all, and under the slightest bit of pressure it's Shola up front and long balls to the big lads. He doesn't really believe in the passing game IMO, and looks unsure how to implement it. It looks to me that players like Cisse and Marveaux are getting stick on here when more than likely the style of football is more suited to the Sholas and Martin O Neill type of players. Agree with all of that. Pardew sticks to what he knows which is percentages. Players moving around or going forward too much and losing position in a passing movement worries him. Our players try as much as possible to hold thier zone and their core position and then reboot. This keeps the team profile solid and hard to score against (that's the theory anyway -MON - Allardyce and Moyes - but he's changed the last couple of seasons). I suspect he's been pawing at statistics too much which often don't tell the full picture. Often 3/4 touches may lead to a goal (like the kick from Krul goal on Sunday) and nobody has to have deserted their positon (Shola just moved in a bit). He looks at mistakes (goals conceded when there is a corner up the other end and the breakaway). Ironically these kinds of stats are the surface of the game but now with prozone and so on they have become the new gloss. Tbf to Pards he's a bit like an unpolished Mourinho who has had his fair shair of very static and defensive formations (remember how Chelsea used to lob it to Drogba a lot?) Just that a lot of Mou's overfocused research (see all his assistants and their number crunching - Clarke etc) is gilded with teams full of stars. P like Mourinho is only interested in winning football. Even now two sprinters wait on the half way line (Benzema and one other) while the whole team defends. P still really wants Carroll as the focus, that should tell you everything. a nice post , agree with everything except the mourinho comparisons.

dont blame carver, pardew is the boss so he has final say, if carver says "lets attack like barcelona tikki tacka!", pardew would say "fuck off carver u just came back coaching from canada, twat"

maybe not pick itself as such in a specific order but what i meant was , there's easily four teams better than us, no?

Don't know why but I can see us stepping up our game for this match. 1-2 to the Toon. -
im not convinced. Whose is better? i remind you we finished 5th with that line up last season us finishing 5th last season got nothing to do with this season and the same line up you mentioned just answers you own questions. fact are most teams around us have strengthened well, where as us, our additional players brought in this season don't even start, and some aren't even trusted to be near making the bench. You say we're a top six team, so the top four picks itself, leaving Spurs ahead of us just to name another Everton? maybe you're right.
-
not to mention we were at home so no traveling involved.
-
he did have a very bad game, he kept hogging the ball, something he's been doing a lot lately, and i dont mean dribbling with it. I mean he just stops on the spot with the ball ,looks around sees that there are teammates to pass to, and does nothing then gets swarmed by WBA players. Happened many times today.

and Bigirimana just turned 19 apparently.
