I aggree with that, would have been ba off for ameobi for me, but not sure it would have made a difference at that point.

Playing counter attacking footy was perfectly reasonable, took a while to settle but we got some good chances from good footy in the first half. I'm not convinced we could have kept up a high pressing game and not conceeded loads against a team with plenty of players capable of passes beating offside traps.

Was very tired at end, had given everything, water carrier today, but did have glimpses of his more creative role. did as asked very well, sad he was at fault for the second goal though.

We did that late in the game yeah and was a tad frustrating but that was mainly tiredness and urgency, didn't hoof it much for most the game, it was when Shola was on. Wasn't our worst hoofball either we got some serious chances nad pressure late on.

Ran his socks off today, as he always does, good show though.

City's defenders never let him have the ball for a moment un harried near the box, didn't do much wrong really.
-
Frustrating for him, but played well I thought. Slow start, misplaced a few passes but hustled and bustled more as the game went on.

He'd fucking fit in at any good team because he's brilliant, but most of all he fits him here, and lets never let him leave :|

Our game plan was to pump it up to ba and cisse only after they scored, we didn't have too much time for patient build up play at that point. I don't think Pardew got it significantly wrong and had luck fallen a different way we could have got a goal or two ourselves. One of the reasons we didn't was Kompany was superb. We struggled in midfield as Aguero and Tevez both drop deep basically giving them constant options but a lack of a focal point up top why they couldn't really score for large part of game imo, it would have been hard for us to match that even if we had stuck on gosling for Ba, and not really ready to trust Gosling ahead of Ba being a threat up top. What did for us is Yaya Toure moving further up the pitch, brilliant player and can't really legislate for that. Thought everyone played fine, Ben Arfa maybe seemed to be missing things he'd normally do but can't complain overly. Well done all. Not sure why everyone is suddenly calling for Pardew's head, think expectations got a bit high here.

Ffs, anyway fair play they probably deserved it, early yellow for tiote may have been the difference, great season, well done players didn't fall for them today

Well yeah I know what you mean but Cisse obviously has way too varied a game. He's hardly scored the same goal again and again. And hell if he does get marked out the game that's less people marking Ben Arfa...
-
By merson logic no striker can ever have two good seasons as after one everyone would just mark them out of the game...

When some defender or something suddenly decides they're messi or something and try to go on a ridiculous dribble, like Phil Neville doing stepovers the other week or something. Part of me just smiles thinking of them playing at school wanting to be a striker like everyone else and gradually being moved back the pitch...but still think they're secretly a striker

Cisse will score a ridiculous overhead kick, he's due one :|

i often quote partridge's comments from Day today there when watching footy :| HE MUST HAVE FOOTBALL PIE ALL OVER HIS SHIRT
-
He's referencing Gosling being caught speeding

Might as well pop down to see it
