Surely if you are Liverpool and you see two inexperienced CBs for Arsenal you play an actual CF to test them? Origi, Benteke or what ever else they have would surely make more sense than Firmino.

Is their a worse LB in the league than Moreno ? i can't think of one.

Said that last season, he literally can't explode in tight spaces because of how huge his upperbody is compared to everything else.

Man Utd look so much better when the pass it around for a few passes before opening up a chance, which isn't surprising considering who the personnel is. For some reason they think it's a good idea to play direct when there's only one player with pace in the team.

He's not though, he plays on the right which is where Mata is playing. Which is surprising to me considering Mourinho's history with Mata.

We didn't play with two sitting midfielders last time, Shelvey is hardly sitting. Also the one striker thing is unavoidable, we just don't have any alternatives with Mitrovic suspended. Rafa's made some poor selection choices but most of the teams people want him to play are just not possible due the personnel available. Anita and Hayden man. I know Anita was playing on wing but his core skills is sitting back centrally. When he's playing on the wing he's not a sitting a midfielder, i don't care what his core skills are. We all agree he shouldn't be playing though.

They are leading and all that, but seems odd for me to say he is an attacking coach. They are keeping the ball 85% of the time, still have very few chances. Of course Mackems have had no chances, but it's just the difference in skill. City can keep the ball the rest of the game without giving Sunderland a chance and without trying to score. Some say that's beautiful, I say it's boring. They have the skill to hammer these 3 or 4 nil. When it's like this it's boring, it will take time for them to inject the pace into their passing. It took Bayern some time too, by the 3rd season they were great to watch IMO. His ideas just take time to implement, it only happened straight away at Barca because they had been playing together for like 10 years.

No way should he be anywhere near starting for a team with unlimited resources. He's been poor most times I've watched him for about a year at the least. Considering their resources i am surprised they never tried to replace him, but saying that there's a lot of players they have i can say that about.

Honestly our struggles so far should tell you that winning with the best talent is hardly as easy as it seems.

He's very good obviously but has never proven anything with a team with less talented players than the opposition Bit of a silly criticism IMO considering how many great managers have failed in similar positions, but anyway it's not just a matter of going out there and telling them to play. He quite obviously does from a tactical and coaching point of view which is completely on him. I understand why he doesn't get credit for that considering the spotlight is always on the players that score the goals to get him wins but still.

He was for the opening game and in pre season, also what midfield 3? there's Hayden, Diame and Shelvey already there. He's quite clearly playing on the wing.
