They don’t look like they have the midfield to allow their attackers to perform. What i suspected tbh, their attack looks great on paper but there's not much behind it to support it. Different roles tbf, no one else will ask their star player to do what Messi did IMO. Most of them will want their forwards has close to goal as possible. Rightly so too, Messi picking the ball up that deep isn't winning you games.

The reason he doesn't play outwide much is because he doesn't track back how he used to so it just majorly imbalances the team defensively if he plays out wide. You can cover for it more when he's in the middle.
