Les and Gillespie signed summer 95. Shearer in summer 96. Great photo though, an immensely likeable bunch.
  2. I think if they manage to not fuck up over the winter period they should win it. They traditionally have a poor November and seem to have avoided that, but as you say, if they lose against Chelsea or City then that could really heap the pressure on them with those two teams chasing and believing they can overtake them. Hope they do win it mind, be an amazing achievement, especially for Wenger.

Gillespie and Ferdinand are there so aye. Also, Albert still has his tash. Watson and Clark look up to no good.
  4. Not sure if I'd prefer some Hazard goals or a Southampton clean sheet so Lovren can come in and add points.

Look at the fucking state of his shitty box-fresh trainers and his baggy-ass tracksuit. The man is a professional football manager of adult professional players, in one of the world's best and most widely-viewed leagues, regularly on worldwide television, and he goes to work looking like this. The worst thing is he changes INTO a suit for post-match interviews. Does he not fucking know the cameras are on him more when he's on the touchline? Bet he's fucking nude below the waist in them as well, the reprobate.
  6. Enjoyed Ridgewell's neat little pass straight to Shola's feet. What the fuck was that, like.
  7. Wonder if there's been any research into how likely a striker is to score again in a game following one they've scored in.
  8. 41 points with Mignolet, Ivanovic, JWP, Hazard, Lovren and Negredo © to play.
  9. Awful but I admire you for trying.
  10. Thought about him because they're against his old club, don't have enough of a feeling to go on though.
  11. I enjoyed that too. Good to see him get some recognition and not be overshadowed by Gotze's hype.

  13. No Shola ? No believing it. Took long enough to type that out that I may have put him in a few times to amuse myself.
  14. FourFourTwo's list of the 100 best players in the world.
  15. Media not wanting to say anything negative about him due to being afraid of the injunction, and him being such a stalwart for Man U and the Premier League?
  16. Fwiw, I hope they both do absolutely nothing.
  17. Aguero's at home, and he usually scores against Swansea.
  18. I'd say they're stronger than any team from England tbf. Zlatan is in great form and so is Cavani, their defense is settled and they have a decent midfield with Motta - Matuidi - Verratti. I don't think they'll win, but with a bit of a lucky draw in the latter rounds and I don't see why not. They definitely have a chance of progressing into the latter stages this season. Look at how they could've put Barcelona out last season and gotten to the semi finals, and are stronger this season. As you say, with a good draw they could go far. Don't think they can win it mind, I feel a team has to get really close before they can win it, you rarely see a team win it these days who hasn't narrowly missed out in the previous couple of seasons (with the heartbreak/motivation/experience of losing a final, for example)
  19. Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere but Pat Rice has apparently been admitted to hospital with cancer. Wish him the best possible recovery.
