Have to say, the kit looks mint now having seen it a few times. Whilst I'm not a fan of the white back section, I think it'll look passable with the names on. Are we bringing out a European kit btw?

C'mon man, that's bang out of order to be fair. Think of all the classic number 9's they've had over the years. Actually, hold on . . . . Wait . . . . . OK, you win

Can't help but feel we need to "get this one over the line" (pardon the Pards-ism) to get the window started. Still need a CB and Striker imo, we just need a first team upgrade through the door. Will jizz when this happens

Sad news that, feel for the lad, hope he makes a full recovery.

Happy days, a Trophy and what a Trophy it is Thought Marv showed us a little bit of what he's about tonight, some of his close control was excellent IMO, good turns, nice passes, fingers crossed he's over his injury debacle and can really kick on now. Overall I thought we looked good in parts and poor in others tbf but just had enough to get the job done. For only their second pre season game I thought Braga looked a fair outfit, held and passed the ball very well, I wish them every success for the coming campaign. Agree with most assessments of the players tonight, Colo's a terrific Captain for us, the perfect man for the job, composed, assured, relaxed and confident under pressure, what a guy. Thought Tav did OK in there, will do him no harm that and look forward to seeing him again. Simpson and Raylor were fine, but what a Tournment winning free kick that was, immense. Not sure what was going on in Chieck's head tonight, maybe woke up in a bad mood or something. Cisse just needs to find his range, his movement was still good and he was finding the spaces OK so nothing to worry about. Glad Demba got on the scoresheet, albeit the Pen was weak but at least he had the presence of mind to follow it up (canny finish too). Maybe it be the first of many EDIT: Howay the Lads (fucking IPad spellchecker)

Good point well made, did dive in a bit too much but I'm putting that down to youthful zeal. With a good coaching team around this kid and Pards man management about him, he should get a really good start to his career here. -

Wasn't very funny when the Pap ballooned his penalty about 10 feet over the bar Yeah, 4-4, wtf, very strange end to the game. -

Can't be arsed locating a "Not sure if serious" meme, so I'll just type it instead. -

No and no. Jesus Christ. 1) He isn't even a Tiote-type player, although I'm sure he can be molded into one (Pardew seems to like to play him in that 'destroyer' role). 2) Might sound like a broken record, but having seen pretty much all his games for Coventry I'll be shocked if he's even Premier League quality next season. He's a decent young prospect but nothing remarkable yet. "Tiote-quality" ffs Hard to tell on limited viewing but looks like he might fancy himself as a box-to-box midfielder. Seems to have a eye for a pass, good feet and you can't deny he seem to like a tackle or two. Agree, from what I understand he's not been brought up as a Tiote-type style player but he could become a Tiote/Cabaye style hybrid. Tiotaye / Cabote Does look a prospect though -

Thought he equipped himself well tonight, caught dilly-dallying a few times but besides that showed some nice touches, seems to have good vision for a pass and linked things up well I thought. Cabaye MKII anyone?
