It's a brilliant piece and all the idiots on social media need to be shown it tbf.

I wouldn't swap him for anyone, even after a takeover. At the end of the day Rafa is a geordie! He saw the potential of the club when it was rock bottom, and if the takeover happens it's because he's convinced others of the potential.

Exactly, there's literally nothing to suggest Benitez walking would have done us any favours at all. Last time we replaced Keegan with Joe Kinnear ffs. In fact I'd go further and say that Benitez staying on despite everything is what led to Ashley's admission to Sky that we couldn't/wouldn't compete under his ownership and directly led on to him deciding to sell IMO. Combine that with suggestions that the Staveley interest was helped along by Benitez himself and we're looking at the club potentially being saved due to the fact he didn't walk. But hey, Diame's shite so fuck him. This is my worry tbh, Rafa's backed him into a corner, lined up a new owner and put the pressure on him to sell or run the club properly. The most typical Ashley thing to do would be to play along with this for a while in order to keep Rafa here, spend no money in Jan and hope to still survive. Not saying thats whats happening only I wouldn't put it past the cunt.

Well this is going well ffs.

Just watched it back again, he actually gets his hand to the ball after getting back up just before Rooney, only problem is his hand goes over the ball Our goalkeeping options are so fucking dire.
-
I said earlier but the one strange thing about the "breaking news" yesterday was that it wasn't 'a sale has been agreed' but 'a sale is close'. All I want to hear is that it's done ffs.

I asked this question in this thread weeks ago as I saw an article stating £30 million, someone else posted this link: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/how-much-could-new-newcastle-13841929 where it seems to be around £70-80 million, but as others have said theres ways to spend much more if we have it, although that's getting a bit far ahead of ourselves at this point tbh.

What I don't quite get is who went to the papers etc saying 'a deal is nearly agreed'. Not agreed, but 'nearly'. Pretty clear it must have been intended to help the team yesterday, not that it worked. Then the denials again today Getting pretty bored of the whole thing at the minute.

As a staunch atheist, I've come to think this is also the case. The Bournemouth decision of ruling Gayle's goal offside incorrectly started this mess. I need to find the Sunderland fan who has a voodoo an NUFC voodoo doll and keeps putting pins in there. I trace this run being down to the Bournemouth game mainly and that decision as the moment everything went to shit pretty much.

End of the day we could easily have been 2 up at halftime, must be pretty deflating for the players as well as the fans to go behind in that way. Similar to the Bournemouth game in that we could easily have gone in a couple of goals up at half time. Thin margins really but win those and things would be completely different. We just seem cursed lately. Add that to our lack of quality and this is what can happen.

This has been obvious all along really, I keep saying this but Rafa will go down as a legend if this happens (not that he wouldn't anyway).

This is it for me, at a minimum the new owners can work with him you'd think, as opposed to against him as things are now.

Still nervous as fuck hurry up and announce it's done!!

I've posted the exact same quote on here previously, think most people understand that but some could do with reading it again probably.

When have we ever heard any news coming from Charnley especially good no chance that was what he was referring to. He knows something and for him to even mention anything sounding positive after months of negative talk feels like to me it’s done, dusted and just waiting for the cigar. He has seemed pissed off as fuck recently, none of those smiles when answering questions so hopefully theres a reason he seems to have perked up.

Tbf I've spoken to more than a few Villa fans working in Birmingham and I would say he was actually pretty liked rather than disliked, at least by the ones who know anything about football.

Does Lejeune speak good English? Not sure myself but if not it might go some way to explaining why these 2 look so bad together at the minute?

Doing it in style tbh
