 Been drinking have we ? No Ba > no goals > no 3 points. Or if Ba played on the left. More Goals > more wins > more 3 points. It's not just a coincidence the rest of the team are under performing. Do you really believe the only reason that we don't play 4-3-3 is because of Ba?

Ben Arfa, Gutierrez and Santon today. That's 3/4 of our wide players. Only Simpson will be on his best side and he's terrified of a football so is no use whatsoever going forward. OK, Ben Arfa's so bloody talented that it's largely irrelevant for him, but as a team game it's f***ing s*** to have so many players on the wrong side. There's no service to the strikers as nobody can beat a man on the outside and get a cross in. Every single time they'll have to stop, check back, and play an inswinging cross in with their stronger foot that will be cleared easily by the defenders who've had time to compose themselves and are facing away from goal. We're completely negating our strikers, wingers and fullbacks effectiveness by doing this, and we do it every bloody week. Under a 4-3-3 its different, as the 2 wide men play as auxiliary strikers rather than wingers, so I can see the logic of having people on the wrong sides there. But not in a 4-4-2, it's utter dogshit. Mehh, the only thing that's a problem is Jonas and Santon on the same side because the constant checking back totally slows our attacks. Santon and Ben Arfa both look fine to me on their respective sides and Jonas doesn't deliver any end product on either foot anyway. Chris_R is right. If you can't see that the complete imbalance of the side isn't (arguable the) major problem with us this season, then i don't know what you've been watching. I didn't dispute that we look imblanced, it's just ive got more of a problem with the system. We should be playing 4-3-3 with Jonas in the middle. The spell we played that was when we looked best under Pardew.

Who would you say he plays on the wrong side like?
  5. GW 9: 1. 1-2 2. 2-0 3. 2-2 4. 0-1 5. 0-0 6. 3-1 7. 0-1 8. 2-1 9. 0-1 10. 3-2
  6. We outplayed them and were really comfortable all game (unlucky goal aside), even with 10 men.
  7. The point is that the tackle was not a sending off offence, before or just after the whistle.
  8. It's a booking, nout more, nout less.
  9. I couldn't believe it when they said Tiote's sending off was premeditated. It wasn't malicious or premeditated at all, it's clear he went for the ball he was just late.
  10. I couldn't believe he got sent off for it to be honest. IMO if the referee is going to send someone off that early it has too be a dead certain red card and that wasn't. It ruined it.
  11. Shame as we deserved to win, but playing an hour or so with 10 men I can take a draw. On the red card it was a complete joke that he sent him off, completely ruined the game (plus it was never a red). We played very well all in all.
  12. This, I don't like the sing when your winning chant particularly but it sums up their entire fanbase.
  13. Tbh it felt like we gave up after Cisse's 'goal' was ruled out.
