tbh I think he's a better player now than he was then.  Personally I think he's the right player at the right time - just a total leader.

I bet there aren't many Premier League teams who got CL qualification using a smaller squad than ours.

Yeah but you could say that of any team to be honest.  To succeed you need some luck. And let's be honest we were due some.

I honestly think he just needs to play more games - he was always wanting the ball, making the runs but he wasn't always getting it.  He clearly has the confidence and no doubt the ability.

Was nothing to do with bottling it - it has just be a long season with a very small squad.  Eddie has pretty much played the same 11 all season.  I think the midfield in particular were broken - walking wounded.  They just had enough in them to see us over the line.

I'm not going to be able to sleep - just want to soak this in.
