It doesn’t take much to get some peoples knickers in a twist.

The club look at hundreds of players and they will also know the squad needs some filling out, unless you want to see Ritchie etc in the bench again next season, so there could well be additions at good prices that aren’t straight into the first 11.

It's not his lack of ability It's his I injury record. We want to sign players we can actually play

Stop all this crying about FFP for goodness sake.

We have good people in charge that have been excellent in getting good players in.

It's all going to be navigated just fine and dare I say much better than the majority of other clubs.

We'll navigate it better in that the club will make sure they don't breach it. But as a club I think we should refuse to just accept what is an in just system.

Went with Doughty, but I had a feeling that Burnley would try to stop Doughty as much as they could, and they really did. He didn't look like he was going to get any points until that lucky goal. In hindsight I probably should've gone with Walker, but I got lucky. Walker could very well get 6 points tomorrow, though.

    Nah we'll score

I still find it remarkable that there are a ridiculous number of rules and regulations that are prohibiting a club from spending money it absolutely has in order to grow and make progress in order to be successful. Doesn't just apply to us but Villa, Everton and West Ham and whoever should absolutely be allowed to spend the money the owners definitely have without any danger of going bust. It's ridiculous the barriers that have been thrown up to stop anyone from challenging.

I get the need to protect clubs and fans from owners spending money they don't have, that's common sense and does make 100% sense. But this current system simply isn't fit for purpose. There has to be a better way of allowing competition whilst simultaneously protecting clubs from bad owners who want to exploit things. The whole thing is backward. Dressing it all up as being 'Fair' is just the spunk on top of the cherry on top of the cake. It's not 'fair', it's fucking 'rigged'

I am amazed it hasn't been challenged in the courts - at the end of the day football is a business and these rules are stopping clubs being allowed to grow said business.  It doesn't matter what business you are in, you have to speculate to accumulate and football is no different.

  5. Liverpool are where they are in the league not because of defensive solidity it's down to their wealth of attacking options. Goals win games simple as and we're severely lacking in that department.

  6. It just needs scrapping - ruining the competition of the the league.  Getting boring City winning year on year - though only after City have been robbed of all their titles for blatantly cheating.

Until Eddie rules him out on Friday, I'm telling myself Joe will play on Sat.

If it'd been that bad, surely he wouldn't have came out for the 2nd half. Second goal was perfectly timed in that respect.

He looked to be walking fine after the match
