Without going back through the pages I'd be willing to put my house on that not being the opinion of the majority on here. It’s certainly not a majority opinion and I’m sure my post is going to ruffle a lot of feathers. I’m obviously not wishing for the club to fold or for our supporters to be miserable. I understand that the club means a lot to the city and community. But there are clearly many supporters who need to take a long hard look in the mirror and reasses their priorities in life.

I see we’re also rather explicitly condoning the brutal murder of a journalist because we don’t like what his fiancée says about our *check notes* favorite football team. Honestly, some of you really don’t deserve this club. Maybe it’d be better if it went the way of Bury.

Its a clique i tell ya , a clique ! I don't think there is a 'clique' on here, what we do have is a group of very regular posters who tend to 'listen to' eachother and 'quote' eachother, and that seems fine, as they are the ones who have 'put the work in on here' and kept this forum going for years. I have been on here for many years, but I don't post too often, so consequently I don't get "quoted or re-quoted" all that often either . . but I think that is ok. We have some very good regular posters on here, who I enjoy reading !! I've been on here about 11 years now and I've noticed there's a massive clique which has gradually become worse over the years and sadly turned what was a very active board into what had became a ghost town up until the takeover news. It got to the point where you find yourself checking and rechecking your post before you press "post" to try and eliminate unusual culprits ripping it to shreds. In other words there was no fun in the place anymore which is why so many people walked away. Hopefully there'll be an introduction of new posters join if this takeover goes through and maybe it can get back to where it once was because it was dying on its arse up until a couple of months ago. This forum has lost long-time contributors due to the state of the club under Mike Ashley and the capitulation to, if not outright support for, the status quo from many supporters. They didn’t leave because some forum in-group hurt their feelings.

I think that attribute alone makes him a great player tbh. That’s a rare enough quality. Fact that he’s not been a part-time player for City and Liverpool during their title-challenging years but a full-fledged starter speaks volumes too.

2011-12 was when I started following NUFC in earnest so I’ve got a soft spot in my heart for that year’s kit. 2012-13 was meh, but you got used to the spikes. Also liked the collar. Whoever designed the 2013-14 kit should be drawn and quartered. 2014-15 would’ve been one of the best kits we’ve had in 20 years if not for the inexplicable decision to tack on a black bib. 2015-16 was decent and I liked the third kit with the sash. 2016-17 effort was pretty poor but we were good so it didn’t matter. Away kit ala Boca was lush that year. 2017-18 was superb. The all-black third kit was great, too. 2018-19 was again excellent. And the best away kit we’ve had since the kit it paid homage to. This season’s is garbage. Patches should never again be centered on the chest.
