Five minutes is excusable but 20 minutes then leaving 10 minutes later?!? Rediculous It's called Apathy and that is what happens when you're in the situation we are. I didn't care about arriving late or even missing the start of the 2nd half. If you're going to be so pedantic about it, then don't go to another game again as it happens at just about every game. Are you serious? 30 minutes is a third of the match, two thirds if they do the same each half. I don't really give a fuck what they do but it ruins everyone elses enjoyment getting up and down every five minutes. They should lock the doors back into the bars five minutes after kick off then five minutes before the end. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2012/08/09/article-0-12C27AB6000005DC-184_468x495.jpg Absolutely Eric Cartman as an adult

And Anita and Jonas. Four defensive midfielders, only one of whom has any real composure on the ball and can make strong passes forward. At least Anita is a creative player, someone you can give the ball to and hope he'll make something happen. You could also make the argument that Jonas is a winger and might cause them problems out wide. You'd be wrong, but you'd at least have some sort of leg to stand on. Perch and Tiote though... they're pure ball winners who don't do anything else. And we started both of them at home to the worst team in the league. Anita's 'creative' in the first phase of an attack. It's why a CM triumvirate of Anita, Tiote and Perch is never going to work - because all three of them, if you look at their best attributes, should be the first man to get the ball once it's out of defense. Anita spent the majority of the game a few yards loitering outside the box, and it was just a waste. He wasn't getting the ball at the right time and we suffered as a team because of that. He should have been about 20 yards deeper. Just another typical display of Pardew getting his players all wrong. If he's going to insist on playing this static 4-4-2/whatever the hell it is, he could at least get it somewhat right: Ba Cisse Obertan Marveaux Anita Tiote

Casual fans, come just to say they were there. Just like every Lakers fan.

Can't believe this thread's gone on this long. It'd be criminal to deny us Mathieu now

Plays. What, you didn't see that post route he ran? Awesome bootleg to get in position for the goal

Agreed, just thought Marv should've come on before him even.

No one could have predicted Shola to come on and play as well as he did. Same really of Obertan. Marveaux still should have been on much earlier (should have started tbh). At the time the first round of subs was made, they were awful. Pards got lucky.

The man, the myth, the legend. Shola's been rather poor the last few times he's come on, but he was vital today. Made all the right plays.

Pienaar was one of the few good choices I made this week.

28 points with RVP © and Michu to play, hoping Swansea and ManU wrack-up the goals. Cup opponent on 31 points with Suarez ©, Berbatov, and Michu to play. Not looking good for me. I "wisely" decided to sit Huth and Cameron in favor of Bassong and Joey O'Brien. There's two extra clean sheets down the drain.

QPR game will be a watershed moment for Willo. He'll wind up from 20 yards out and finally smash home a header off a corner. It'll be an own goal, but it'll be grand.

If Hoffenheim goes down, Johnson will surely find a home on another squads. I dunno about Danny Williams though. Uncharacteristically poor performance from Cherundolo today.

Not officially retired though I don't think.

Think Sturridge is rather overrated. He'll throw a hissy if he's played anywhere but central (doesn't that sound familiar...) And there's no way they'll move Suarez to accommodate Sturridge. One of the more selfish players I've seen too. Would rather take a shot from 40 yards and go for glory than hit the open man with a pass. Ince is a very nice signing though.

It's kinda funny really. Zenit fans actually see nothing wrong with saying "we don't want black or gay players here." Perfectly normal disagreement to have in their minds

Is racist abuse still an issue in North East football?

Well, I meant it more metaphorically.
