Mourinho to City Benitez stays at Chelsea Ferguson stays at ManU Moyes/Laudrup/Martinez to Arsenal

Agreed. Never understood wanting to keep him around simply because he's been their most successful manager. If the guy's not winning anymore, cut him loose. They sold all the generation that was meant to take them up to the top but he had still been developing brilliant talent. He's not really the problem, lack of investment is. First time I agree with this miserable guy. Arsenal doesn't have the financial resources of the Manchesters (few teams in the world do). But they've still been able to attract high-quality, high-priced players over the years. Recently, Cazorla, Podolski, Monreal, Gervinho, Giroud, etc. Only a handful of PL teams have the funds to sign players like this. There's still no excuse for a team this talented to go trophy-less for 7-8 years.

Really looking forward to learning new racial epithets in Ukrainian next week.

Don't ever be fair to Norwegians. Biggest mistake you'll ever make.

To think that Jonas/Obertan might've been our strongest combo at one point in the near past.
-
Tippeligaen isn't the strongest of leagues either. Those refs aren't judging great competition.
-
It does for me too, but ya know, I thought Obey looked pretty good last night. And Jonas has been playing better since the influx of transfers. I'd keep them in the line-up for the second leg.

My priorities for the rest of the season are: 1) staying up (I'm almost fully confident now that we will) 2) making a serious run in Europe We worked hard last season to even get to Europe, be a shame if we just threw in the towel now. Especially considering there's almost no chance of us qualifying again for Europe through the league this year. We can trot out strong sides in Europe and not jeopardize staying-up. Don't really care if we finish 12th or 17th tbh, just so we're not relegated. At the end of the day, anything between 6th and 17th effectively means the same thing. For this match: Krul Yanga-Mbiwa Coloccini Simpson Haidara Anita Cabaye Sissoko Jonas Obertan Cisse So resting Santon, Tiote, Taylor, Marveaux and Debuchy (and Gouff).

Re: Robbie Rogers. Grant Wahl at SI pointed out that he never mentions retirement in the blog post, just that he's 'stepping away' from the game. Might just be semantics, but sounds like he's leaving the door open. Granted, it'll be hard for him to get back into the game if he's gone longer than a year or two.
-
Wow. Never international-quality, but a serviceable MLS player. Too bad he couldn't get his feet under him at Leeds, might've done okay in the Championship. Wish he'd stay in the game and try to fight the gay prejudice, but I understand too. Best of luck to the guy.

I'll be pretty steamed if we end-up losing the away fixture and dropping out the tournament.

Someone needs to bludgeon the ref with a boot.

You're shit, white Willian.

Greatest player in the world with another goal.

Sweep the leg, Steven.
