  1. Very young German team will only get better. Expect to see more Gotze, Reus, and Schurrle at the World Cup.
  2. Probably Giggs (is that how that works?), but anyone know why De Rossi has just the one long sleeve? Something to do with tattoos?
  3. This is the correct answer. Unbelievably shit coach too.
  4. Hard to argue Giggs, Bellamy, Richards are in better fitness than in-form and mid-season Beckham. Bar Bellamy's knees maybe I'd say they are far more agile and fitter than Beckham, even when he is pre season. Either way what I'm trying to say is I'm glad Pearce has made the decision based on the football and not because of who he is. But was it really about football? Think he picked 2 Welshmen over potentially better English candidates (Beckham aside).

  6. Totally agree. Obviously we can't say for sure but I think he comes across as a decent enough bloke who still cares about football a lot. And although the Olympics are hardly the top of everyone's serious priorities in terms of winning it, he would still have done a decent job. He plays hard for LA Galaxy every time out. The anti-Rafa Marquez, if you will.
  7. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/re-upped Not denying it's a term that's used by some, but don't hear it in sports really. Out of curiosity, where are you from? Baltimore
  8. TBF, Portugal wouldn't be near the same team without him. If he lines up to sink the 5th and put Portugal through, he's a hero. If not, he stays Cristiano.
  9. Twatish. Has to be, their best player never took a pen. Or you want your best player lining up in the situation of most pressure. He should've been 3rd or 4th though, tbh.

  11. Just wait a few weeks for Stu's "NUFC Depth Chart" thread, you'll feel right at home then. I guess re-upped is a Yank thing...
  12. Bale re-upped for 4 years at Spurs. Surprising, tbh.

So we have to share our kit with Dortmund? Not bad tbh, just seems Puma is lazy as all fuck.
  14. Really, that's his first guess?
  15. We might as well sign Twente's entire backline while we're at it.
  16. Photoshop Drogba's face on him and you'll have yourself a gif.
  17. Yep, the one thing they lack is a forward who can physically dominate the opposition. Drogba's that guy and is more a team player than Ibra was.
  18. Casillas Lahm Kompany Pique Cole Schweinsteiger Xavi Iniesta Cronaldo Ibra RvP J. Cesar D. Alves T. Silva Colo Marcelo Vidal Mascherano Suarez Messi Neymar Aguero Too many forwards available for SA. Had to leave out Cavani, Higgy, Falcao, Sanchez etc. Europe would win thanks to the midfield. Uh, Scott Parker?
  19. Spurs will be lucky to keep the big guns this summer, imo. Wouldn't be surprised to see Modric, VDV, and/or Bale leave.

  21. We can smack the shit out of Scotland alright but don't ask us for a dominant win over the mighty Antigua and Barbuda.
  22. Replace 'England' with 'U.S.' and you'll basically get the same argument from most of us across the pond. We've relied too long on the English/Premiership model of producing superb athletes focused on nothing but winning. The biggest reason Klinsmann was brought over was to completely revamp the way the game is played from the grassroots level on up, focusing on technique and skill the same way he helped transform the German system. I'd say our national team plays much the same as the England squad, just with less skill and a bit more heart
  23. That he would actually.
