  1. The RSA between Kings Palace/Coneygree/Don Poli is one of the most intriguing races of the week. I've backed Kings Palace a few times over the last two seasons and Coneygree has been good to me. Probably just going to side with Coneygree on the basis that it's front running style will keep it out of trouble. Can see why people like the look of Kings Palace though, almost faultless over fences so far.
  2. Value at Risk on Friday is probably my bet of the week. The trainer, Dan Skelton, has been bigging it up the last few days and at 10/1 it looks a good each way bet in a wide open Albert Bartlett.
  3. Not particularly tips or anything but I'll be backing the following tomorrow: 13.30 Douvan 7/4 14.05 Un De Sceaux 4/7 14.40 The Druids Nephew 7/1; What A Warrior 33/1 (I'm convinced Dan Skelton will train a winner at this festival after the great season he's having so backing all his horses no matter what the price) 15.20 Faugheen 11/10 16.00 Swing Bowler 50/1; The Pirates Queen 25/1; Caroles Spirit 20/1; Bitofapuzzle 25/1 (All E/W) 16.40 Sego Success 9/2 (My NAP for tomorrow); Vivaldi Collonges 14/1 17.15 Leap Dearg 16/1; Knock House 14/1
  4. Mate, that sounds like an addiction to me. Be careful. I've been there in the past totally addicted losing £200+ on my dinner hour. I'm more sensible now than I've ever been. Could do with Liverpool winning this one though.
  5. I've recently changed my strategy as well. I'm having less bets but putting more money on. It's normally death by a thousand cuts with me but I've decided to just have a couple of bets per day. I look for 1/3 or 1/4 shots and put them in a treble. Never anything more than a treble and it only ever pays out around evens. I've had quite a few of these win recently, especially in the early rounds of the darts. Last night I had another with Bunting, MVG and Wright paying just over evens. Todays selection is Feyenoord, Ajax and Liverpool. All three are at home and at 1.16/1 it'll be my only bet today.
  6. Backing a faller in a flat race pretty much sums up my luck.
  7. Ashley can vote for 2 board members. No prizes for guessing who those will be.
  8. He played 4 games for us. Hardly got an opportunity. Biggest myth going that he was dreadful. He left before he got the chance to prove he was shit.
  9. One of Sunderlands better players as well! Could be another nail in their relegation coffin.
  10. That's an absolute disgrace. Cunt should be vilified for that. Abeid is one of the only reasons I still bother to watch most of our games - hope he gets out of this tinpot club as soon as possible.
  11. I'm watching the horse racing and then flicking over to SSN for score updates. Not a hope in hell I was spending my afternoon off watching this abortion.
  12. They'll be missing three of their better players through suspension and injury (Yarmelonko, Belhanda and Mkobani), still a tough one especially with return leg in a chaotic Kiev. Hope you go out ASAP Some good ties there. Wolfsburg-Inter, Villareal-Sevilla, Fiorentina-Roma will be quality . A potential last 8 of Kiev, Ajax, Zenit, Wolfsburg, Sevilla, Napoli, Besiktas, and Roma looks quality on paper.

I hate the cunt but he's a lot better than JFK. He does occasionally tell the truth in his post match press conferences and I think he even blamed himself after a defeat.
  14. 4/7 is a great price in my opinion.
  15. Isn't Celtics recent away record in Europe atrocious? Just checked. They've won 6 of their last 51 away games in European competition. 2014/2015: Reykjavik 1-0 2013/2014: Cliftonville 3-0 2012/2013: Spartak Moscow 3-2; Helsingborgs 2-0; HJK Helsinki 2-0 2011/2012: Sion 3-0 2009/2010: Dynamo Moscow 2-0

  17. We haven't reported a profit before player trading yet. Operating profit for the last 7 years has been... -29.0m -24.7m -37.7m -33.5m -3.9m -5.1m -0.6m I'd expect us to spend in Summer. Conveniently ignoring the mahoosive tv deal Why discount player trading btw? Does that money not count? I struggle to trust these numbers. Remember that Starbucks reported a profit of £1.05m last year. They have 791 stores and that's the first profit they've reported in 17 years. Never underestimate the importance of a decent accountant. I'd be amazed if the numbers NUFC report are anywhere near indicative of the financial performance of the club and everything associated with it. That cant be right surely? Pre-Tax "profits" for starbucks in the last three accounts. 2012: -30,403,907 2013: -20,465,123 2014: 1,056,196

Last summer we spent £12m MORE than we had in the previous FIVE summers COMBINED. Exactly. Last Summer was a one off and certainly wasn't the norm. We have the two Forest lads coming in plus Siem De Jong & Rolando Aarons back from injury. Over the course of the window we'll make a profit. Pretty likely there'll be one 'marquee' sale followed by a couple of players on the cheap in my opinion. Or the previous 4 windows were an exercise in making the club self-sustaining and it will continue to invest the majority of whatever profits there are into new signings. Depsite 10 years of evidence to the contrary? We have spent almost all of our profits on transfers for the past ten years. Except £11m that went on a loan repayment. We'd have spent that on 2 years interest on loans under Shepherd. a) so we haven't b)what's that got to do with anything? What happened in January then? Or when we sold Cabaye? What got spent then? a) "almost" I said. b) Without an owner or buyer willing to splash millions as a plaything, the club has to be self-sustaining. The fact it is self-sustaining and spends what profits it earns rather than being an Ashley cash cow suggests the bumber profit we report will get reinvested too. Did you see the chart? We spent over £37m after selling Cabaye. The club will still have a large cash surplus. We're about to announce HUGE profits. Come back then please.

We've just made a sizeable profit in the January transfer window man. I can't begin to understand what has brought you to the conclusion that we're all of a sudden about to start splashing the cash.
