FWIW we were never really at the races today but I don't think we got played off the park either. The two Dembas we know can do a whole lot better, Tioté was missed and Cabaye still looks unfit. They got a penalty because of a stupid mistake and scored one brilliant goal, it wasn't as if they were peppering the goal all game. We can do better, I don't think there is anything to worry about too much, especially considering the opposition. If the same happens against Villa then fair enough.

Service into the box has been very poor all game.

Anita impressed me most, very tidy passing, always showing for the ball and looking to pass it forward, showed good read of the game when defending. Actually thought Obertan looked decent for big parts of the second half, started beating his man and made 3 or 4 good crosses into the box.

Every time I see Gosling play I'm never sure what it is he does, not even entirely sure what role he is meant to be playing here. At least we know what Obertan is trying to do Anita looks tidy though, good passer and seems to read the game very well, seen him covering Tav a few times in the first half when he pushed, could be handy to see Santon given a bit more freedom.

They never seem to be building for the future, they've bought O'Shea and Brown with zero sell on value and only a couple of years left in them, Saha on a short contract, Bender last season, possibly Berbatov now. They'll just have to start over again in a couple of years and spunk another good few million up the wall.
