  1. Be a good time for Arsenal to bring Gyokeres on.
  2. Ashington drew 0-0 with Blyth Town in the league. Looking a bit grim for both of them, sitting 2nd bottom and bottom respectively, no wins in their 11 matches combined and Ashington have only scored 2 goals in their 5 matches. Still early days, but Ashington only just stayed up last season, and it always did look tough for Blyth T at this level who weren't expected to be promoted last season from the Northern League. Wins for Blyth Spartans, as mentioned above, and also Consett, who have made a decent start.
  3. Just catching up on the non league results. Great win for Blue Star vs Heaton in the FA Cup. Over 800 there.
  4. The one time I'm actually OK with them winning (Sunderland), ha. Still early days, so that absolutely significant as if it was near the end of the season, although does feel like a big win for them.
  5. 8 mins injury time at Sunderland.
  6. £31 now, but I'll just leave it running, as it will be a double kick in the teeth if Sunderland win. Miss out on £200, plus a big win for them. Part of me wouldn't mind them winning though , would be one of the luckiest accidents, ha.
  7. Cash out is currentl £42, but can't actually do it right now.
  8. Wow. I'll be chuffed that my bet went in a second later if this pen does go in.
  9. I can actually cash out for £6.90, ha.
  10. I'm happy in one way, but I thought Sunderland would nick a winner so stuck a fiver on them at 17/4, but just as it went through, Brentford scored , so probably a waste of a fiver. The payout won't be bad if the Mackems did somehow turn it around.

Looks more like the tennis player Tsitsipas.
  12. 2 interesting matches on TV tonight. Hamburg vs St Pauli on YouTube and BBC iPlayer at 7.30pm and then Leicester vs Birmingham on Sky at 8pm.
  13. A third straight European tie going to extra time for Hibs. Conceded a 90+6 goal the other week vs Partizan (eventually came through) and have conceded a 90+4 goal to Legia tonight. They don't do comfortable.
  14. Sounds like an eventful night in Warsaw. Legia 2-1 up from the match in Edinburgh last week, go 1-0 up on the night, 3-1 on agg at half time, but Hibs have scored 3 goals in 16 second half mins to lead 4-3 on agg, and then get Junior Hoilett sent off, but now that's been overturned. Shamrock Rovers still 2-1 up on agg against the side that finished 5th in the Portuguese top flight last season.
  15. Possibly already been posted, but this is a nice video. USG have 2 Englishmen in their squad, including their captain, but also a Ross Sykes who seemingly supports Newcastle.
  16. It's great reading other clubs forums. Those drawing us away definitely won't like that for a Pot 4 option.
  17. The main drawback for me, and seemingly many others, is the lack of new teams. Now granted, it's 30 years since we played Bilbao, I can just about remember the tie as a kid, one of my earliest football memories, and if you're under 36/37 or so you won't can remember that, but there were 15 teams who we had played in the PL era, 15 teams we hadn't and we've managed to draw 7 who we had faced before, and only 1 new team in USG. We're obviously not European stalwarts, but it would have been nice to have played some new teams and visited some new cities. Real and Bayern would have been nicer, but I guess there is the chance for that in later rounds if we get there. Played - PSG, Inter, Dortmund, Barcelona (4 matches) Not played - R Madrid, Bayern Leverkusen, Benfica, Juventus, Frankfurt, Brugge A. Madrid, Atalanta, Villarreal PSV (4 matches), Sporting, Olympiakos, Marseille Ajax, Napoli, Sl Prague, Bodo/Glimt Monaco, Bilbao, Copenhagen, USG, Galatasaray, Qarabag, Pafos, Kairat
  18. I think it's fine. Main issue is lack of new teams, we've been out of Europe for so long, bar 2 years ago, but we've still played 7 of the 8 in the Premier League era, PSV and Barcelona more than once. Should be looking at at least 7 points from the home games. and then if we can get 4 or 5 from Marseille, Leverkusen and USG then that should be fine. Would have preferred the likes of Copenhagen and Pafos over Bilbao, and Slavia over Marseille etc. but could have been worse. I know now we couldn't get them, but I didn't know Napoli had already drawn two English sides at the time, but they would have been a lot tougher than PSV when they were the last 2 in the hat.
  19. Yep, Pot 1 will be tough matches regardless, but there will be a big difference between Ath Madrid (H), Juventus (A), Napoli (H), Sporting (A), Galatasaray (A), Bilbao (H) (still allowing Bayern and PSG from Pot 1) Frankfurth (H), Brugge (A), Bodo/Glimt (H), Slavia Prague (A), Kairat (H), Pafos (A)
  20. Na, I'm definitely easiest draw possible this season. We're pretty much guaranteed 2 huge, glamorous matches from pot 1, so would prefer the nicest possible draw in pots 2, 3, and 4. Trips to Pafos and Prague would be great trips for our fans and a real chance for 6 points, and while it may kind of defeat the object to some extent, if we did have the derby or a crucial Premier League game then we could maybe rotate the squad if playing at home to a Qarabag, Kairat etc. or in the unlikely event that we had effectively qualified with a game to spare. We had the 'group of death' last time and plenty of time to make memories in the two legged L32 / L16 / L8 etc. while simultaneously giving us the best chance of getting back in it the following year and continue to grow as a club.
  21. The keepers aren't anything like saving most of these. Could be here a while.
