I was told some time ago that a) The renaming of the Stadium (it is a sports business) has a LOT to do with the Olympics. There was never any intention to sell it. b) Ashley is being VERY difficult in relation to the removal of sponsorship - which fair or not is part of the conditions. c) There is enough concern that an alternative venue down the road was/is being looked at.
