In fairness they could pull a bloke out of the crowd to manage them tonight and still trounce us

The sad thing is. Though harsh on Mannone and to an extent Poyet and Bridcutt, I can't really argue with that .

We've been fined. Months ago. For a clerical error. Hey, not just me mate the finest minds in football are saying the same. While it would have been easy to apply justice for the league games it would have been a huge embarrassment for them considering he played in a League Cup game too and they're probably hoping you just go down quietly so they can conveniently sweep it under the carpet. In the unlikely event you survive there will be a s*** storm and they may have to act correctly to keep what little integrity the league still has. To be honest if it was another team I'd be waiting for them to be deducted points. The fact is they knew months ago and a journalist has sat on the story til now. It's a farce the whole thing. If the player in question had kept us up ala Tevez and I was the fan of say WBA or Cardiff then fair enough I'd be outraged but the player in question is Ji Dong Won ffs. The twat has actually cost us points this season.

Yeah it's mega childish to not want average Mackem players on our books, behave man. if he's Ronaldo I don't, but it's jack f***ing colback. Have a look through the thread in RTG and they can't wait to bin him off. He's turgid, often goes missing and basically offers nothing. Would much rather see bigi play, abeid back. Colback FFS He's better than those you mention. He tends to keep it simple but I wouldn't say he goes missing just doesn't catch the eye very much. I reckon he'd look much better playing more advanced.

Sunderland - like Newcastle are a difficult team to manage. Place & Pulis are a great fit. Palace would be delighted to have 5 consecutive years in the Premiership playing hoofball - despite producing some very talented footballers. Sunderland on the other hand..... make otherwise decent managers (based on previous jobs and current jobs MON & Bruce are decent) look terrible. Agree with all of that except that Bruce and MoN are good managers. O'Neills Villa were shocking to watch with their one dimensional football, and Bruce's myth is only perpetuated by his media muckers. We'll get beat off West Ham tomorrow, and that'll be us gone. To be honest I'll be relieved when it's over, then we can start clearing out the utter s**** that's been infesting our club for the last 5 years. If we have to suffer more than one season in the Championship, then so be it. You have signed a s*** load of players the last two windows haven't you? How many do you think will stay? If everyone leaves who I'd expect to leave I reckon we're taking on the Champo with a squad of Mannone (Hopefully) Laing Brown/Egan O'Shea Roberge Bridcutt Cattermole Ba Wickham/Karlsson Graham Scocco/Watmore Plus whoever we can bring in. I imagine we'll probably get Buckley from Brighton. Looking at that we'd still need two full backs, a centre half, a couple of midfielders at least one of which knows that league and a reserve keeper. And thats with me being optimistic and hoping a few kids can step up. If we go down careful planning is needed. Keeping Poyet is crucial, as is allowing him to build his own side from the ground up.

Agree fully but I dare not post it on there for fear of being called a pussy/bed wetter et al Mags tbh.

Your luck has to change some time man. I'm hoping it doesn't but still. Eventually you'll beat us.

I'm still clinging to the fact we seem to raise our game against the big teams. However I'm resigned to the fact we're probably going down. I've seen this too many times to be hopeful. These big teams are also chasing results now, we are now into crunch time of the league. Refs always favour the big teams. Watch out for some dodgy old decisions coming in the next few weeks. Yep

The same Martin O'Neill they, nearly to a man, wanted at the time? #partywithmarty without doubt the cringest set if supporters ever 'Pardiola' 'The Fenham Eusebio' There's been a few from both sides over the years. 'Hop on the Gus bus'

To be honest if we go down then it looks like we'll be there for a while. Out of the current squad Bardsley, Colback, Larsson, Westwood, Gardner and Dossena are out of contract. Alonso, Ki, Borini, Celustka, Vergini, Ustari return to their parent clubs Fletcher, Johnson, Altidore, Giacherrini and probably Cattermole will be off if a buyer can be found. Mannone will have offers as well I'd imagine. Leaving us heading into that league with a squad of O'Shea, Roberge, Bridcutt, Mavrias, Watmore, Wickham and Brown if he doesn't retire plus a load of kids and shite we can't get shot of.

Well this is odd....close family friend gets tickets mailed to him on a regular basis, on account of his work with Sunderland City Council in his role as a foster carer. By the way - He hasn't fostered any bairns for about 5 years, and living in North Shields ('MAG TERRITRY FTM!!!') every ticket goes straight in the bin. You want them? Send them my way if you want...
-
There is still conditions to it though, they mostly get given to the university and city council. Unless your a student or work at either of these then you are probably unlikely to be given a ticket. It's not like they are literally handing them out outside the ground before the match. I've lived in Sunderland all my life, and I've never been offered a free ticket. My kids will come home from school with special offers (£20 for two tickets) but that's once a year. We got the odd one for a tenner when we were in primary school. Fourteen years ago now but I've never had a free ticket either. I'm missing out.

10? good grief had no idea it was that many. Only 4 for me I think. Maybe five. Tbh I've lost count.

Tut tut, using language like that about our dear neighbours. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum will be on in a minute telling you how nice they are and how we should all be kind to each other.

More than welcome for me, the common sense realistic approach they hay taken is so far bearing up against the jibes and anecdotes. Will it last? I think they have had the help of derby wins, and a relegation or derby loss could see them wiring jaws and pushing things in letterboxes. I'm staying, don't worry about that, I like it around here, even with the dogs abuse aimed our way. Been on here for about a year and a half and I quite like it too. Like they say though we've never lost a derby while I've been on. If/when it happens I'll do my best to take it on the chin. I've had enough practice. Was living/ working in Newcastle when the 5-1 happened.
