  1. It's a shame his injury is celebrated, he should be treated as a rotation option anyways. Can't fault his effort, he just isn't productive whatsoever.
  2. Pray for an early goal, and then realise we will spend the rest of the game defending our narrow lead.
  3. I really don't like going into a match day not being arsed about the game. :-/
  4. So he appears continental and sophisticated I presume.
  5. Due to not having BT sport, I am instead watching Barton prance around against Bolton with his shite hair.
  6. I just think they're very shady and Cabaye hasn't been a pick of bother his whole career. I won't hate him for having ambition, I will hate the owner and those he's chose to run the club for not having matching ambitions however.
  7. They won comfortably midweek, and we have no intentions of replacing him. Both clubs will be happy to wait. Yea but to be fair Fenerbache aren't as good as their reputation would suggest. That being said though I think Arsenal fans have really blown their situation out of proportion After the game against Villa it was a worry though. A fair few here wrote Arsenal off against Fener, the pressure was definitely there. It wasn't an easy trip at all.

  9. I think the way this club has conducted business in the past under Ashley, I'm more than willing to give Cabaye the benefit of the doubt and say he was asked not to play incase he picked up an injury and it scuppered a lucrative move.
  10. They're a team that allows their manager to pick out the players to suit his style. That's their major advantage from the get go.
  11. If he doesn't play today, we are definitely protecting him from injury. Home game against a team we should be looking to get 3 points from realistically.. If our vice captains head isn't right he needs a kick up the arse to put it bluntly. He's still under contract here so it isn't too much to ask that he remain professional.
  12. Will walk straight back into the team upon his return.
  13. I think this idea that a team doesn't play their best player because he might get injured is a bit overplayed. If PSG or Arsenal really want him, they'll buy him, whether he plays and gets a knock, or gets a red and is out for 3 games. Hell, we took on Remy with a buggered legs, and he's only here for a short while. It is rare that a player will pick up a serious injury that will keep them out for several months in the game just before his move, but the chance is there. So why risk it?
  14. It's clear to me that that is an excuse. The player didn't make the squad as it wasn't deemed a game worthy enough to risk injury.
  15. We might not need to, but it will severely limit our budget if we do not. It does seem like it's one in, one out. Players came in in January, a few have left in the summer and not been replaced.
  16. If Cabaye was that against it, you'd assume he would have come out by now and set the record straight. The club have probably been hoping for a larger bid this week that hasn't quite materialised. I don't expect him to start against West Ham. Perhaps his head will be all over the place, or he has picked up a small knock and the club were not willing to risk further injury.
  17. We'll sell him very late in the window, and then the excuse will be there was no time to find a replacement and strengthen the rest of the squad, so we have to carry on until January with what we have.

Must. Stop. Spurs. Moses will be kept around for the CL home-grown quota.
  19. For a start, when he first signed he told of how he was promised we would play a passing, progressive game.

    Alan Pardew

We play with fear as the manager sends them out to protect clean sheets and the lead if ever we do get it. I can't see a player who is enjoying their football, it's all so sterile and defensive like an army drill. Everyone to their stations and dig in. No freedom, no creativity, it's all stifled out of them.

    Other clubs' transfers

We seem to have ignored most markets.
  22. I think it was purely down to us not wanting to risk injury with a high value player in a game where even a draw looked completely off the table. Cabaye will go along with this story as he will get his move eventually.
  23. Did he down tools, or did we choose not to risk him in a game that we had very little chance of getting anything from?
  24. There is absolutely nothing we can offer to make him stay at this point. World Cup year, we've strengthened very little while letting a few go out the door, Pardew is manager with the added bonus of Kinnear running transfers. The club is being run like a joke, just when it looks like we might have a bit positivity qualifying for Europe, it quickly descends into farce and our own manager says he's glad we've not got Europe to contend with again. No ambition. We will be left with players who have none either, and there's only one way the club will head when that happens.
