  1. There's a distinct lack of Solano in all these teams
  2. A lot of people refuse to deal with him and have refused to do so for a long time, predating all the public exposure. He's in deep with Debenhams / HOF- he might need to simplify things soon. More likely he just doesn't want to pay them what they're asking. My ex used to work for KMPG, and they're just as shady as him and his crew are.

Guess he's the man with a name you'd love to touch, but you must not touch

Have they really got "Max Power" playing in midfield, or is the sky app taking the piss?
  5. Nigel Quashie? quote author=afar link=topic=100077.msg6714071#msg6714071 date=1525819137] Didn't that Clucus lad go down last year with Hull also ? There's a few of these kinds of players that seem to be magnets for relegation misery. Bassong I think was relegated three times too and Steven Caulker had his fair share.
  6. yep...him and Robert transformed a mid-table team to champions league challengers.
  7. Such a confusing, inconsistent string of moves. Was he actually good at one point and has faded or was he always operating at a level above his capabilities at the likes of Spurs, Soton & Liverpool? Just realised he has 1 England cap too and actually scored on it too https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jun/29/steven-caulker-mental-illness-addictions-gambling-drinking-qpr I didn't know that. I can empathise with him on some of the issues there. The Dundee move actually becomes admirable in this light. Admiral in some ways, but doubt he'll see out a season. Dundee is an utter hole, and the people hate the English more than any other Scots I ever met having lived there for three years and with a Dundonian girl for eight
  8. Is there any reason why teams can't spend pre-season at a high altitude camp to increase red blood cell count and oxygen carrying ability?
  9. Saw a stat somewhere that over the last 5 seasons we've had fewer penalties awarded than Brighton got last season alone
  10. Couple of years too early, but there was also the delightful Jose Antunes Fumaca

Some obscure betting site probably...or an insurance company in need of a boost in visibility. Wont be any company of huge wealth or respectability. Amigo Loans perhaps? "Compares favourably with premier league clubs" Screams betting site all day long.
  12. This massive arrogance from a small rugby town. They are basically Wigan from 10 years ago

Absolutely...and i dont begrudge Bradley a moment of whatever happiness it brings him at all. Bad taste or otherwise...Sunderland did everything to protect their own image before anything else.

I didnt say or even imply it does. Was just an example of how these things can f*** with other parents in similar situations. Why was Bradley "chosen", so to speak? That's all I'm wondering Cold and heartless here....chosen because or a rare(but not unique) condition and was pictured in Sunderland top. Sunderland desperately needed good publicity after the Adam Johnson disgrace. This was like manna from heaven... What they have done is good, but dont for a second imagine anything would have been done if it wasnt to their own benefit....Unfortunately just like most clubs.....as you say Bradley is not unique in his terrible position so where are the london clubs with kids like him? Where are the North West lot with similar kids? Nowhere..at least not so publically anyway. Sunderland knew they had a reputation to repair (always claiming to be a family club) after allowing Johnson to play despite knowoing of his guilt....what better way than supporting a child with an incurable illness. Or maybe im just cynical It's crossed my mind, but I'm willing to hope even they wouldn't stoop so low to use him for their own gain. Doesnt get much lower than allowing a guy they knew to be guilty continue to work for them in a role where contact with youngsters was a distint and likely possibility. Happy to play roulette with the 13/14/15 year olds....then bam! Shoot weve been rumbled....how do we prove we didnt place our own wellbeing over that of a childs? Oh...what's this a young fan in a serious condition? Lets very publically support him. Sorry to say i know enough PR bullsh*****s to know this probably isnt far from the truth

  16. It probably was paid in installments. They would still have to pay all the installments whether they sold him or not though I was under the impression in recent years that we'd insisted on cash up front for all sales. Could be wrong. You are. We buy cash up front. This....we pay up front to get a lower overall fee, but take outgoings in installments to ensure a good cash flow
  17. Is this "gulf in class" between the premiership and championship real or imagined? Given something of the dire standards shown by premiership teams i can't help but feel at least a third of championship teams would make a better fist of creating an entertaining game beyond focusing on 17th place or better. Recent years have shown that at least one of the promoted teams surprises.the premiership for whatever reason (not a rule of course)...but who would have considered Bournemouth a premiership team just 5 years ago?
  18. FA board consisting of 12...get that 12! all considered him to ve the best man for the job. That's not incompetence..that's taking the p***. Think even Lee Clark would have been a better option
  19. Any odds on how many so called stars will "retire" from England? Could see Rooney jacking it in from now that his place is under threat from Defoe ?
  20. How is it that the FA cannot see what any self respecting football supporter can see, that Bruce and Allardyce are simply not good football managers? Surely at least one of the decision makers must have watched either of their teams over the last few years? I can only conclude that their interviewing of these two clowns is either ultimate incompetence, or a final FU to the media and little ingerlanders that insist on a "Proper Englishman with Pashun" in charge, just to show how bad things can be. Sadly incompetence is the more likely
  21. And they're a champions league team!
  22. Still maintain he'd fit in to Leicester's style of play well
  23. 8 seasons, 2 or 3 very good. Should never have been made captain, but that wasn't his choice. Rock solid in the championship and the first season after promotion. Overall a good servant, soured by a couple of garbage seasons and repeated flirting with San Lorenzo. Best of luck in retirement in Argentina
  24. This...no-one was hugely convinced by Bellamy or wanted him here until they saw how his pace gave Shearer a new lease of life
