  1. I guess they may well give a damn as by every report going were effectively skint without breaking the rules
  2. They're not panicking....they're spitting the dummy out because they've been told 'no' for once and hadn't planned for it. Now they'll try every slimy loop hole to get what they're after. Hopefully our lawyers are better as that's the only way this is going to end. It won't be amicable, and no-one will be happy with the outcome. Therefore i can see us ending up with man u paying what we paid Brighton for him, but him having to sit out his contract with us. We're not happy as having to pay someone for doing nowt and having to find a replacement ManU not happy as paying for someone who can't do anything for 18 months DA himself not happy at being totally out of the loop on GL 'Football people' being pr***s means there's no winners here
  3. No longer care. Just want to make it as difficult as humanly possible for Ratcliffe and ManU. They will be big Jim's main interest if what I've heard of ineos is true
  4. Stranger things have happened Only see 6-9 though as can see us dropping points in games we should realistically win....ie Burnley and Sheff Utd.
  5. Forest will get no-where beyond being fined. If it was one of the dodgy 6 there'd be a rule change before you can say 'lost revenue'
  6. Reckon Labour would be more likely to give it in order to 'show interest and investment in the North'
  7. There no way Gateshead couldn't have been aware of the requirements at the first whiff of being promoted.
  8. We do have a pretty poor record of uptrading ( ie getting rid of someone and bringing in a better replacement) mainly due to hanging on to players for too long before any value can be gotten (Ritchie and dummett are prime examples). We could have gotten a fair wedge for Longstaff when he first came through based on the hype, but we slapped the 'not for sale' sign on him and he hasn't progressed as well as expected, so now we have a player low on confidence, in such poor form that no-one will be looking to spend on and will probably be here in 10 years time as a 'dressing room leader'
  9. Is he? A year out can be pretty detrimental, and we don't really know how good he is from the few games he actually played. Hopefully it's given him time to settle here and gain an understanding of expectations, but could easily go the other way and he's the next Aquilani.
  10. Give over ...Clarke is worth about 60m and better than Gordon. So I've heard. Must be missing something myself as I don't see his goal output or help being great. Know Neil, and he thinks RTG is hilarious
  11. See City have now actually started to extend the Etihad
  12. Gallagher would be a massive upgrade on Longstaff so should be a no brainer if available for a respectable fee(which won't happen if we're involved)
  13. Where do West Ham get this idea that they are a footballing/attacking/entertainment team? I've heard them go on about the West Ham way, but I don't recall them ever being a particularly good footballing side. Yes they've had decent seasons and results but I recall most of their managers being pretty dull and dour
  14. He would....he's not a "fancy foreign name" (Copyright Sam Allardici), and doesn't have a trophy haul to back him up. He'd probably be good for them, but reckon their fans are looking more for a Zidane type appointment.
  15. This exactly. They've played it safe and the season we have will dictate as to how it's remembered. Nothing wrong with it but nothing spectacular
  16. I am considerably....considerably richer than yaaoo
  17. Sincerely believe Ratcliffe is arrogant enough to do it thinking he knows football, and a few half decent results at international level is enough to ignore the massive failure at club level. It would be worth it even for the short time Southgate would inevitably last there. Just a shame that Southgate doesn't seem to have the ego himself to think he could make something of Man U
  18. Last few weeks looks like he's started the Joelinton process on working with what we have available rather than waiting on the walking wounded to come back, and starting to get performances out of them. Kind of like FM when you find a combination of s*** players in a certain formation and stick with them long enough it works. Years ago and obviously a bug in the game, but managed to get Darlington to an FA Cup final doing this....without save/rage quit

    Alexander Isak

A whole world of nope. He might be a better footballer...but Shearer was a better goalscorer and could score any type of goal....headers, skillful chips, long distance blasters, and took a wicked free kick. Could also drag the whole team to a result no matter how bad we were playing. Isaks bloody good and definitely better in terms of trickery and fast feet but he's got a long way to go before anyone can claim he's been better for us than Shearer
  20. A bit of crunch with some spice never hurt anyone
  21. I've never heard anything that makes me want Liverpool to win the league more
  22. Nope we've done it before and been burned every single time
  23. Quite possibly. If he wasn't on loan from us in the first place, I'd expect some serious interest in him from the other PL teams Unlike some of our past loans he's actually gone to a half decent team, and contributed a fair bit in a league that is regularly cherry picked, so deserves some attention.
