  1. Arsenal XI v Chelsea: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Monreal, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Ryo, Bendtner Strong Arsenal team. Surprised by that.
  2. Koscielny and Price OUT Curtis Davies & Boruc IN Arsenal have tough fixtures coming up and Hull are good at keeping CSs, and now I can rotate Mig and Boruc based on opposition. Will probably replace Zabaleta with a low key defender too after his game vs Norwich. He's been woeful at getting points recently.
  3. Cheers for the fix Disco. Wasn't aware it's not allowed. Check out the goals at Freiburg-Hamburg game yesterday....very strange keeping by the keeper. Joe Hart x10 .
  4. Spurs are so jammy this year, it hurts. 3rd 1-0 penalty win where all their penalties were extremely controversial. Hope Everton destroys them next week.
  5. Aguero, Ibra, and Diego Costa AGS tomorrow @ 10.
  6. I agree. But for us, it's mostly about players of other mid-table clubs who jump the ship (Sunderland, etc). Not ones with potential to be elite. Sahin leaving BVB for Madrid after his unreal season, Bale doing the same, Coentrao was touted as a top 3 Left Back before his move and many more examples when it was clear the teams of those players were clearly on the up before Madrid came calling. Well, maybe it's my personal dislike of living in Spain that makes it unappealing. Cristiano Ronaldo would have had so much success had he stayed in United. 1 League win and 1 cup win in 4 years despite his incredible numbers. That's a very poor return despite him hitting those incredible numbers and stats for them.
  7. Gareth Bale's El Clasico Debut: 54% pass completion rate, 0% take-on success, 0% cross success, 2 fouls & 1 yellow card. Absolutely abject. Quiet terrible. I personally like Bale and hope he gets better there, but this whole thing about Madrid being every player's dream pisses me off. So fuck them if they flop.
  8. Just seen Rooney's header Insane number of quality goals have been scored in the last 7 days. Hard to pick the best of the lot
  9. Carlo's Madrid is even more negative than Jose's. No shape to this team whatsoever
  10. who is your opponent In another league, not N-O. Think My 3rd spot in N-O table is in danger after this week...Dreadful decision making Ozil my captain.
  11. My opponent in H-2-H had Suarez as captain. Devastated !
  12. Not sure if it's been posted, but Steve Kean has got a job in Singapore super league. Pretty close to Shebby actually !
  13. Mig, Shaw, Chico, Coleman, Koscielny, Yaya, Hazard, Ozil ©, Sturridge, Giroud, Lukaku. Bench: Barkley, Wittingham, Zabaleta Expecting a lot of points this week.
  14. Arsenal -1 Leverkusen -1 @ 4.2 Rooney, Giroud, Aguero, Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Kiessling AGS @ 77 for weekend.
  15. Aye. Mind boggles how we beat Capello's Juve, Mourinho's Chelsea and Ancelotti's prime Milan in a row to win that competition. Rafa was a genius. BISCAN, TRAORE, LE TALLEC, SCOT CARSON, Milan fucking Baros
  16. Leverkusen -1 on saturday at home vs. Augsburg is @2.25 WBA or draw vs. Liverpool on saturday is almost @3. Ridiculous, Too good to turn down. I'll have some of that.
  17. I just don't get Ancelott's Madrid. Like, with Mourinho, you could totally see it's a 4-2-3-1. You can obviously see Barca are a 4-3-3...but the team shape under Carlo for Madrid so far is unclear to me. It's a very unique type of 4-4-1-1.....Not sure this will help Bale either.
  18. Leverkusen 4-0 Shakhtar is the result of the round no doubt. Group A could get tasty if Sociedad don't lose to United in Spain.
  19. My triple of PSG -1, Gala and Bayern @ 3.2 looks like is done and dusted already. Zlatan Well...I'm back from the dead. that'd do nicely for tomorrow' EL games. some good value in early games
  20. Their black away kit this year is the one of the top 5 kits I've ever seen in my life. Juve's away last season was sweet too.
  21. Freedman is badly struggling with Bolton as well. They were a goal away from play-off last season, and are now in relegation zone after 12 games with a squad good enough for top 6. Looks like the managerial merry-goaround didn't work for either of them/teams
  22. Gerrard and Lampard have never been world-class Both were world class between 2005-2009. During which Chelsea made 5 CL semis in 6 years, Liverpool made 3 semis, and 2 finals winning a CL. Lampard and Gerrard went head to head with some of the best players in the world in that period in big games and came through as winners with influence. The self-hating English mentality strikes again. This is Liverpool's line up against Juventus in Quarter Finals of CL 2005. I mean, you compare the teams and it's mind boggling how the outcome pan out. And it's not as they had some mug managing them, it was Fabio Capello. Gerrard and Lampard won games at Camp Nou, Bernabeu, Meazza (San Siro), Del Alpi, Old Trafford etc in that time period in high stake claims doing MOTM performances. They had over 100 goals and assists between them in those 5 years. Not world class, my ass. Scott Carson - Gigi Buffon Steve Finnan - Jon Zebina Djimi Traore - Gianluca Zambrotta Sami Hyypia - Lilian Thuram Jamie Carragher - Fabio Cannavaro John Arne Riise - Mauro Camoranesi Steven Gerrard - Pavel Nedved Igor Biscan - Emerson Le Tallec - Manuele Blesi Luis Garcia - Alessandro Del Piero Milan Baros - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
  23. He's right about that like. Same when Gerrard played against Vieira he always had the better of him too. (Before anyone says it Gerrard was quiet in the 2001 Cup Final that Owen won for them) It's unfair to judge it based on those games, because Keane and Scholes and Vieira were all completely matured and in and around their peak years...whereas Gerrard was 20-23 years of age. Gerrard's footballing peak came at 2005 and ended in 2009 during which (Scholes aside) the other 2 were retired/had left PL. Gerrard also did very well against Keane/Scholes in League Cup final 2003 when we beat them 2-0 with Gerrard scoring one.
