  1. Astana 0-0 Atleti FT Kazakh football once again showing, it's coming out of shadows. Group C is looking real juicy now.
  2. 6 of Norway's points agains the team that finished bottom (Malta) Only 2 of Turkey's points came agains the team that finished bottom (Latvia)
  3. Provided Ukraine qualify (Though they are amazing play-off bottlers), is there a ruling in UEFA that they can't be drawn in the same group as Russia for the main tournaments ?? Great list of teams for the tournament. Platini you are an absolute hero. For once, we should be able to have 4 evenly matched-up play offs. A scandinavian derby would be great.
  4. I know your derby record is absolutely dire (3 wins in 20 matches) in last decade if I ain't mistaken, 3-0 in 2006, 1-0 FA Cup replay with Gosling scoring, and 2-0 with Hodgson.... but I'd be utterly shocked if you don't tonk us on Sunday. We have no tactics, no team spirit, no tempo...all things needed at a derby. If you don't win on Sunday, then it'll take bottling to a whole new level. Our only chance on Sunday, is if somehow Everton make it an open end-to-end game, because that's the only way we could create chances and hope Sturridge is clincal. Else, it really is Everton's to lose. Ad for Rodgers, he's definitely entered the Pardew sub-area....I genuinely think he has a good chance of surviving even if we get tonked. His post-game comments these days are pure trolling the fans, he really can't be serious with some of the drivel he spouts.
  5. First UCL goal (s) and Point for Kazakhstan. Mental early game with some ridiculous own goals. Further proof of how far Kazakh footy has come, and how Turkish league is bascially lumping 16/18 QPRs in one league
  6. No matter how awful the English teams do, it appears the Italians don't want that 4th spot. First Fiorentina/Lazio surrounding wins at EL 2 weeks ago in the last 10 minutes, and now Rona losing to freakin BATE
  7. I couldn't believe the approach you guys adapted for your game at Anfield today. Even Carlsile were more positive. A good win, and glad to see the league's second best striker back. People will go on about Henderson getting a red vs. City, or Gerrard slip costing us the title 2 years ago, but for me, it was Sturridge getting injured in that game...and hence missing the Norwich game and starting the Chelsea game on the bench and then coming on at half time woefully short of fitness, and barely able to run that did it. A fit Sturridge, and we're definitely scoring in that Chelsea game. He really is a top top top top class striker. Horrific run of fixtures coming up though....definitely will either kill and burry Rodgers, or (if miraculously, out of ordinary happening good results happen) give him an amazing lifeline. Everton (A) Spurs (A) Southampton (H) Chelsea (A) Palace (H) City (A) with a trip to Siberia thrown in there. Still think he's a battering at Goodison next week away from the sack. Next sunday should be fun.
  8. Fuck me, Villa are dreadful. Poorer than us and it takes some doing. Half of their players' have the first touch of a rapist...second touch a tackle.

    Steve McClaren

That's true. In Liverpool's case, it, unbelievably, appears to be the case of "The pack of clowns" don't rate him if stories in Independent are to be believed. Amazing that within hours of the agent leaking this to Sky, Bayern are now more confident of extending Pep's contract. (According to Rummenigge)

Klopp agent briefing Sky today that he's ready to cut his sabbatical short and would like a PL job is offered. Considering the mind-boggling backing that Rodgers somehow has on our board and doesn't seem to be going anywhere, I reckon it's up to you guys now. Bring the man to this country.
  11. Just playing a bit...Suarez freekicks also next level, whereas Aguero is a superior penalty taker I think them 2 and Lewandowki are top 3 strikers in the world by far. Everyone else is a tier below at this moment of time.
  12. Aguero over Suarez ?? what next....Beckham over Figo ? Suarez is twice the character and player. His work rate alone puts him above Aguero, not to mention his ridiculous durability especially now that his wild days are behind him. You just look at Messi and how much happier he looks alongside Suarez, than having to carry Aguero for the national team and feel let down every time.
  13. I wish we (Liverpool) were like Russia. An institution with unity, , leadership, identity, and clearly an aim and strategy. Not the mix-match and fuck up that we have with no accountability. Jurgen can be our Putin. We need to act fast so he'll be our Putin, before being Chelsea's Putin. But our owners aren't much arsed with on-the-pitch results, as long as we're doing well commercially (and we're doing great there), and they have even a bigger mess in Red Sox, and John Henry hasn't even been to Liverpool for over a year...so anything bar a relegation scrap or empty seats at Anfield won't see Rodgers sacked until end of the season at least. Hope to be proven wrong though. I love a ruthless structure with desire to win and protect itself...and not just please other PR bullshit surroundings.
  14. So he's not going to Liverpool then. Liverpool are not a ready-made top club. You can't be serious, surely? in name, yes. But in modern day application ? Nope.
  15. So he's not going to Liverpool then. Liverpool are not a ready-made top club. No top club tolerates such depressing mediocrity as us. Mediocre, loser mentality from top to bottom of everyone involved with the club.
  16. Found this tweet yesterday to be very accurate: Today is a good representation of the last 6 yrs. CR7 excites us with 5 great, rather useless goals. Messi scored the huge, clutch winner.
  17. Him and his agent had an interview last week saying, how he's relaxed and looking for a project, and not at a ready-made top club. A project that needs help and it has to be in England because he needs language for his ideas to work. Said, all he needs is to feel the club and get energy from the stadium and England have clubs even outside of their top 4 that can appeal to him." And he touched the TIA sign when BVB came over last summer. I think he'd definitely be interested. And yes...what sort of club do you think Rodgers' level is ? He'll be in the British merry-go-around circle soon as he's f***ed off of this job. The football the team plays is toxic. It literally is like prime Pardew...."progressive passing" manager my arse.
  18. Definitely Pardew level of hate for him now....I happily take Pardew over him at the moment. At least we'll probably beat a Mourinho managed side/big side once in a while. Rodgers' record against so called top 4 sides reads like a obituary. 5 wins in 24 (2 of which against Moyes Utd that actually finished 7th, so shouldn't count. 3 wins in 21. Nightmare stuff He's lost everything that was was supposed to be good about him. Absolutely everything. Showing up at OT against the worst Manc side of last 25 years, playing like a league 2 side hoping to get a miracle...utter disgrace. When RAWK mods turn on you and you can truly express your ill thoughts on the manager there without getting a ban....you know the tide has turned. I think a humiliation at Goodison Park in 3 weeks should seal it. But really, it should have been sealed already. Klopp is out there, literally begging for the job, and this opportunity is leaving, because the ownership is very passive and the manager won't resign because he knows his level are likes of Sunderland/Huddersfield. A extract from a Reading ST Holder when Rodgers was their manager, and it's scary how true it rings now:
  19. Took Naismith out of my FF team last night
  20. Michel Platini is a fucking hero. When Platini got reign to UEFA, he made some decisions that made the big boys mad. Changing the CL qualification route (allowing countries of smaller nations to have the champions route), and then expanding Euros. Both these decisions were met by hostility of many people, even on here...but many years on, it has transformed European international footy. 10 years ago or so, every European internationals night had loads of 6-0, 5-0, 8-0, drubbings in it. It no longer is the case (Unless for San Marino, Gibraltar, and Andorra). No game is a guaranteed 3 points. This change in format, this extra attention and hope given to smaller nations has not only blossomed some of them to a whole new level (Iceland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Albania, etc) , but even the likes of Lichtenstein, Luxamburg, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Malta etc now give every team a hard game and come up with shocks a lot more than before. European football at international stage is a lot stronger than before. And it's all thanks to Platini for ignoring the hierarchy of gangasters and mafia, and pushing for a change to make football more competitive in Europe across all nations.
  21. Serious question: Who apart from Lovren is he obviously playing because they are his favorites over other more capable players? Maybe Lucas over Can as well? Lucas is definitely not one of his favourites. He was nearly shipped out to Besiktas before Henderson got injured. Lovren, Lallana, Allen, spring to mind. Lovren is the most frustrating one because he's literally the only manager in the world who rates him and it costs us every match. Lallana is just a AM version of Allen for me. Decent, but leaves a massive feeling of "Meh" in the end. He just throws players he doesn't like under the boss for smallest of mistakes, and yet keeps backing and giving chances those who are underwhelming game after game, becuase they were his players as opposed to comittee. For example. last year in 0-1 loss to Villa, goal conceded from Lovren losing his marker...yet Rodgers blamed Sakho for the goal because he cleared the ball to corner at first place under pressure (Something Lovren should have done vs. Westham last week and that wouldn't have cost us a goal). Just unreal bias.
  22. Putin could drop a steaming dump on your mother's forehead and you'd think it was marvelous I asked my mom the same question I asked 28 Russian girls (On scale of 1-10 how hot do you think Putin is? ...and she said "7". Not bad
  23. Always thought Russia were like the Liverpool of international teams. Thoughts? Aye, we need to catch up with them by sacking an over-paid, ineffective manager My Russian is improving massively. managed to hold a conversation for 2 minutes yesterday...

    3. though he was on loan for one. But he was still only a kid then, for 6M with the prices PL players are going at, it was a disgraceful sale.
  25. Watch Russia-Sweden, and the Russians were just different class. Created more chances today than the other 6 games under Capello combined. Amazing decision to sack that fraud, may have saved their campaign. Race is on for 2nd spot in that group now.
