  1. Thats what I thought....tv cameras in the changing room on Wednesday before the game?...pfft.... Well done to PArdew and the players yesterday, wtf happened last Sunday though??...maddeningly inconsitant this lot...
  2. how do the Chronicle know that?
  3. riduculous he was dropped after the Hull game, he was the only one to come out of it with any real credit.. Pardew intimidated by the Gallic Mafia in the changing room?....who's idea was all these damned Frenchies?...
  4. Seriously, how many times has Shola been able to play like that for more than an hour in his entire career? But why let the facts get in the way of your agenda. Pardews rubbish, yes we've got that. How many strikers have been let go and not replaced in the squad in the last 3 seasons?...Remy was being protected for the same reason. Who's responsible for squad additions again?...why is Shola still getting first team games here??. I swear some of you lot on here are should be f****n sectioned. You're not showing how much you know about football by blaming every single thing that's wrong at the club on Pardew, you're in fact showing the diametric opposite. Am pretty far from being a Pardew fan before you chuck that out, but ffs try and see things for how they actually are. Pardew is only a part of it, and at the moment and for all of last seasons abysmal showings Ashley is keeping him in the job. Go f****n figure.
  5. If we go down this season it will be entirely down to Mike Ashley. He appointed and continues to employ Alan Pardew, who, it is generally agreed in this 22k-post thread, () is rubbish.
  6. Fair enough, Billy Beene of Moneyball fame would say not mind. What he came up with has been hugely influential. Squadron Leader Charles Reep came up with the stats that influenced Hughes and in turn Taylor during the 50s & 60s. I don't know who any of those people are. Did any of them play for Brazil or Barcelona? Moneyball resulted in Liverpool wasting about £100million on absolute s*** that nearly ruined them. "Downing put the 7th most crosses in last year...£20million sounds about right" Would you prefer the side Daniel Commoli left behind at Spurs then?... No idea. Bale, Modric and Berbatov would have been nice to have around though, if only because they were sold for huge amounts after being brilliant. Thats the thing, and thats what Spurs have done brilliantly. We should have shifted Cabaye or Tiote when their currency was high...if the proceeds weren't headed into fatty's back pocket to cover the cost of the relegation he caused himself that is...

  8. I think the way we ended last season was very close to Pardews sacking being entirely justified.

  10. The problem is that Ashley sees it the exact opposite way. His priority is to have a patsy, the football is secondary. That will apply to his replacement too. I know, that shouldn't absolve Pardew from criticism though. Why? There is no point as long as we have Ashley. You lot willfully won't accept this. You know it, but you're all in complete denial. I don't get it.
  11. How can you ask that question, write about 150 words on the subject, and not mention Ashley once?
  12. It's the usual hyperbolic reaction to anyone trying to suggest an alternative "wut so you want curbishley then do ya LOL?" So tiresome like No, its a fair suggestion that a currently experienced out of work premier league manager would consider a job offer from Ashley should he sack Pardew, which is what a lot of you say you want. If you don't want to back yourself up old son that's fine, but theres nothing more hyperbolic at the moment than "waah!! Pardew's rubbish sack him!!" which is about as far as the debate goes on here it would seem. Well the debate also included a mere post before the idea that due to Ashley's practices the likes of Pulis wouldn't come near us imo and that people like Pardew facilitate the very practices we all hate by jumping into bed with the devil's own. That goes beyond 'he's rubbish, sack him' which you could rightly attribute to a lot of people's viewpoints. The 'waah'? Not so much. Besides to say our manager is an 'irrelevance' as earlier is ridiculous enough to question what you say. He runs the team man. Its irrelelvent to the point at which the club is at now; stable, functioning in a normal-ish way, business wise. Ashley will appoint someone else to keep us treading water. Theres dozens of them out there, theyre not enablers as you dramtically call it, they're football managers wanting their cut of the premier league's loot. And as you can see, not a "wut" or a "LOL" in sight
  13. It's been done loads of times. Sorry for arriving late to the party.
  14. well you're sort of proving my point, thanks. If you disagree, try to say why?...

  16. Agree with a lot of that, apart from the first bit. Do you think Tony Pulis would turn down the chance to work for Ashley?...he's what people may view as a "strong character"...do you think he'd get us playing better football to a coherent pattern?...
  17. If its not Pardew it will be someone else for whom being manager of NUFC is half a dozen steps up the managerial ladder than what they're qualified for. He's largely an irrelevance iyam. He's not. you think Ashley's about to sack him and appoint someone better? Who knows, wouldn't be difficult. Depends how much influence Carr has. I'm bored to death with people saying I shouldn't criticise the manager because the owner is a pleb tbh. Am not criticising anyone, your opinion of Pardew is spot on and one I share. I reserve my bile for the man with all the power though.

  20. 99 have 10,000+ posts 179 have 5,000+ posts 455 have 1,000+ posts Of those, many don't/can't post any more. 2,321 members doesn't really tell you much. Edit: 1,073 accounts have logged in within the last 10 days. How many of them will be at the man city game with a hastily painted bedsheet?... Agree with the general sentiment tbh, TH showing that its easy to get under fatso's skin may just be the spark required to properly stir things up. Make sure you get the right target though lads, its the big fellah in the directors seats you want to aim it at, not his patsy in the dugout.
  21. So Pardew should be criticised for having no part in the loan signing of a mercenary who turned us down for more money last season and appears still to be unable to do 90 mins 2months into the season? He deserves a hammering for numerous things but this isn't one of them. It's Ashley that's killing the club, not Pardew. This thread is ridiculous. You're all mad. I'm so sick of reading this s*** now like, do some f***ing reading, man. Every single person slagging Pardew in this thread knows that Ashley is the main person responsible for the state of NUFC, that doesn't absolve Pardew of all blame. For f***s sake man. And that sums up this thread entirely, being fully conscious that slagging Pardew is missing the point by a country mile yet still doing it This is the dictionary definition of madness. You're all batchy. You do understand the concept of mutual exclusivity and that it doesn't apply here, right? Pardew doesn't get a free pass just because Ashley is also a dipshit. So putting pressure on Pardew will achieve precisely what? I think Pardew is weak, a yes man and a pretty pathetic figure, hopelessly half drowned in a sea of his own 'try to keep everyone happy' bulls*** . So he suddenly decides to get a bit of pride back and walks out...what next? You are the ones who can't accept that in all likelihood Pardew is the best manager Mike Ashley is willing to pay for. That sounds pretty hopeless doesn't it? Who's responsible for removing the hope?.... am 'stating the bleedin obvious',yes. But we won't get an upgrade as long as Ashley is at the club.

  23. Aye losing money every year is the best way for him to get his money back.............. You think he'll sell at a loss then?
  24. Wouldn't blame anyone for not renewing, am certainly thinking about it myself. But would it just prolong Ashleys tenure?...if two thirds told him to shove it would it result in him just hanging on even longer to get his money back?
