If we have the budget, ie we keep Bruno and Isak add Kelly and Tosin and a RW I’d be definitely looking to upgrade Pope.
Pope is a fantastic keeper but he’s a bit of liability with the ball at his feet.

Tosin and Kelly just seem perfect this summer. Patches up the Lascelles & Botman injuries this season, frees us up a bit for FFP this summer and replaces Schar & Burn ready for 25/6.
I'd be happy for us to wait until next summer for the "big" CB signing to partner Botman if we get those two.
Absolutely this, I’ve already lamented us missing out on Kamara when Villa got him for free, let’s not repeat such mistakes this summer.

As I've understood it, the light to Leazes Terrace is as much the issue as the space with regard to the East Stand, so that would maybe be as much a non starter as any other. Would also have to be taken into consideration with plans for the Gallowgate I guess
I wonder if they've considered moving the sun brick by brick to another location
Heard beamish was a good place for those kind of things.

Just a hunch but don’t think we’ll sign Tosin and Kelly, think we’ll get one of the Sporting defenders Diomande or Inacio who we’ve scouted for a long time.
Also don’t see Ramsdale signing, if they’re spending that kind of money on a keeper it’ll be the lad from Valencia.
I think the opposite
signing those on free transfers is such a no brainer, you improve the squad with proven premier league quality which hopefully Eddie can coach to become champions league quality. If it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t matter they were free and can be loaned or sold.
The lads you mentioned are much higher risk.

No like I said they can keep increasing current prices… Yes there are other areas of growth but no point capping the obvious one immediately and the one thats the biggest to the fan also.
What kept us in the conversation for many years was the fact we always had the 2nd biggest stadium in the English football. Was a great pull for signing players also never mind growth. Now we sit behind Man Utd Man City Arsenal Liverpool Spurs. Not long before we are behind Villa and probably Everton. Forrest looking like moving to 50k also.
Build a 80+k stadium with a full closing roof. Even add possible option to lower roof a tier for certain games if need be reducing capacity to 65k. Price it sensibly and if built people will come.
Love the ambition.

Because your budget for the summer is gone in payment towards 1 playerNaaa. Cash shouldn’t be an issue for us. The owners can pump as much cash as they like (it’s just not counted for FFP).

Fraser and Lewis likely to be sold too. I think those two might be the only ones we may get a small fee for
We will struggle to get money for either of those.
I thought Dummy was signing a new 1 year deal as well.

In order for it to be feasibly built they’d need to assess payback/ ROI.
Which stadium hasn’t been built using ROI analysis (payback)? All new pl stadium builds would have had to be assessed and therefore they were found to be feasibly built.
It’s not just as easy as saying the Saudi’s won’t care about payback. Given the rules the Saudi’s will very much care about payback.
It’s more about how much a new stadium will increase the value of the actual club, a lot of people focus on annual P&L but investors in football clubs at this moment are more interested in valuation and how it can be increased.

One things for sure when he does finally join them Manchester red will be briefing they paid a pittance and we will be saying we rinsed them.

Think we've already paid off his contract according to the books
This is my understanding also, this was the year we had that 90% wages to turnover ratio.

He framed that more as Gallagher as a Longstaff replacement and Tonali would be the Bruno replacement. Not really a scenario I'm ready to think about though.
Yeah, still no thanks weaken our midfield isn’t the play.

Fair point. I quite like the idea of Freedman but that’s only going off what he’s done in relation to English signings.Oh for sure, no doubting he’d spotted some top talent, I would caveat by saying it’s much easier to blood young talent in a pointless team like palace than it is at a larger club. I do also question why if he’s so good palace are so average (new manager bounce aside).
Just a couple of things to bear in mind; I’m not against it or saying he’s bad etc.

Re hall, the source is givemesport so we can safely ignore it.

Point taken but Nickson is pretty good on European markets though isn’t he (even if he doesn’t have the champions league experience)Nickson is a scout, I’d expect a sporting director to have extensive contacts with both agents and at various clubs.
Nicksons remit is very narrow where as a sporting directors is much broader.

Excited get the prospect of getting Freedman tbh, think he would be the perfect fit.
I’m not entirely convinced personally, but of course I hope he turns out great and will have my full support.
Was hoping for someone with extensive knowledge of European markets as well as experience competing in the champions league.

He gets linked with every club going, maybe doesn’t interview well?
Could be that aye, doesn’t seem to stay anywhere particularly long either, this must be a huge selling point for Freeman as well as the EPL experience.

I wonder what happened with Mitchell, seemed like the idea fit on paper.
