Anyways let’s stay on topic, who gives a fuck if you can use Face time in KSA.
-
I don’t know enough about Saudi but I think the investments have a different nature, City is a crown jewel for the owners as is PSG. I feel we are just apart of PIFS massive portfolio. But as we’ve discussed, I will make my judgement on that when I know the stadium and training ground plan. (Not that my judgement is worth anything).
-
The problem is, we are too small of an investment to warrant having some stationed here 24/7. It’s definitely inefficient though, unless we can prepare things we in advance and get some form of pre approval. That being said, football is rarely so straightforward.
-
It makes sense too, all of the money is fronted by PIF in essence. I’m assuming the structure in place means such big capital outlays have to be signed off by someone senior at PIF.
-
I mean to cite Watkins very winnable comment. I don’t think any away game is very winnable for us this season personally. This might be pedantic to some.
-
I don’t think this is an unreasonable take personally. Definitely lines up with my recollection of December in particular. I do think however at that point in time the injuries we had were unprecedented and we were running on absolute fumes. It’s fine to have doubts and reservations as well. I would suggest we get behind the side and see what next season brings though because no matter what we will have a more accurate gauge at that point. (If we suffer the same amount of injuries for example we have to link this our training and conditioning methods etc).
-
I think we have two schools of thoughts broadly. 1, we don’t need such drastic changes as if we didn’t get wrecked by injuries we would have been around and challenging for top 4. 2, we need a drastic revamp because we’ve underachieved/fallen back.
-
You said very winnable, which to me it isn’t we will be lucky to get a point imo We’ve been rancid away all season and don’t look to handle pressure to well either.
-
The problem is, in order to essentially do what needed do we would have had to break the rules weather it’s related party inflation or breaking FFP. the issue with that is the punishments are now very large points deductions which would have been difficult to bear.
-
You think Brentford away is was winnable? Boy your going to be disappointed.
-
I hear you on those points, I also thought we should have sold some players last summer I’m not sure it’s something we can hold against the manager mind.
-
We are at our FFP limit.
-
Do you think all things being equal we’ve underachieved this season?
-
It would be so Brexit Britain to bin off var instead of fixing it so it works properly. Hs2 all over again
-
They should have been done as soon as they fame in, if your worried about the amount then you do 1 year deals or make it heavily incentivised (not that I think fair market value rules should be taken seriously).
-
Both Wilson and Miggy should have been shown the door last summer to both free up space and allow us to kick on. Waugh bangs on about it a lot but we have to become better sellers due to FFP. We clearly aren’t going to be making legal channels so we have to improve how we navigate the rules, this included sponsoring everything and anything. I can’t believe we still don’t have a sponsor for the training ground or the training kit, absolutely negligent.
-
I’m not planning the manager but I do get the point. We rushed players back when we had a lot of games to play, we can somewhat afford to rush players back now as they will be getting a break. im not for bashing the gaffa though but I do see some logic to wanting pope back asap.
-
It doesn’t seem totally crazy, especially If Isak didn’t train at all this week. That being said they’ve known each other for years and always speak highly of each other. It’s a shame either way as when we’ve needed Wilson he’s been nowhere to be found.
-
so he was fit enough to play but was unhappy about benched? And they fell out.
-
1, he won’t improve. 2, history of dislocated shoulders. 3, poor with his feet.
-
Depends on the start of the contract with Adidas as well as the end of the Castore deal.
-
I could be wrong but I think the constraints will loosen after the 1/7 to an extent at least. Anyways personally i expect us to trade this summer. Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forwards.
-
If Bruno is staying we aren’t getting a 6, we can be pretty sure of that. If Bruno leaves we will have some money to spend. Pope is a massive question mark now, he’s dislocated the same shoulder twice and we can’t afford him to do it a third time. Replacing him is actually a no brainer on this basis.
-
Absolutely, but he’s fit now and has been fit for a few weeks now.
