No mate, just having a go at one particular poster who ,along with a couple of others, decided it was fair to give me dogs abuse on the EU thread for having a different opinion to him/her when I'd been polite throughout the discussion. He/she then brought the abuse over to here.

You live in a country which has piggy-backed on English wealth and ingenuity for centuries and you support a team which hasn't won anything for almost half a century. Ambition? You also have the worst owner I can remember in the North East considering how wealthy he is. Pot and kettle mate. Slightly off topic but us English have been banging on about the EU for decades. We get a vote and BANG! we're gone. You lot have been bleating on about the English for even longer, you get a vote and you bottle it. It was a desperate season until the last 11 or 12 games. The Chelsea and Everton games at home were incredible.

I'd much prefer we were more successful but I've been watching Sunderland for a very long time and have realised that we need to enjoy even the 'small' victories, which the end of last season was.

To be fair 'Project 17th' was incredibly enjoyable last season.

There's not a club in the world that haven't paid over the odds for absolute sh*te. Newcastle last season comes immediately to mind. The lad hasn't kicked a ball for us yet. I'll reserve judgement.

Pretty underwhelmed at our transfer activity again but I don't suppose Allaydyce leaving half way through the window helped. I'll pass judgement when I've seen the new players play a few games for us. I'm ready for another relegation scrap although we haven't played too badly so far. We should have had at least a draw against Boro who are running on adrenaline and I think will struggle later in the season. If we don't win a game before November I'll be f*cking sick mind

It's probably the best we've looked defensively for at least 5 years. Also Khazri, Defoe and Borini as a front 3 isn't too shabby either.

It looks like Moyes may be carrying on from where Allardyce left. Nowt spectacular but very effective.
