  1. I like the US but as an African I'm backing Ghana. Would love to see an African team do well in Brazil. My native Kenya are shit at everything but fucking running relatively far distances so I'm gonna be waiting a while to see us in a World Cup it seems

Want But 77£ Sent this to my Nigerian mate and he's purchased it, crazy bastard! It seems Shola splits opinion amongst Nigerians too, I know some that are absolutely mortified at his inclusion in the WC and others that think he might bring something else to the table.
  3. Looks like Pardew's gonna struggle with signing his British talent after all- http://www.givemesport.com/466249-liverpool-leading-arsenal-chelsea-in-race-to-sign-dele-alli Wouldn't surprise me if we signed David Dunn on loan now because 'we cudant get r ferst choice over the line'

Hope he does well out in the WC. Seems to play well for Nigeria, scored a cracking goal at craven cottage for them vs Italy and provided a great assist too. Can't begrudge him for making the (prelim) squad, it's most kids' dreams to play in the WC and if he gets the chance I hope he makes the most of it.
  5. Well yeah, Bruce did a great job at Wigan when they finished mid table. During martinez's reign, teams around them spent money and better players came into the league overall so he did well to maintain PL status (until the last season) whilst developing his footballing philosophy so I would argue that he did an even better job than Bruce. I actually think Bruce is a decent manager too. Moyes did fantastic for a decade yes but the league is evolving, especially tactically and stylistically- PL teams are now employing more ball-players and less 6ft gym freaks in their ever evolving formations and set ups, becoming more continental in their approach to the game and I don't want us to be left behind. even Pulis has seen this and palace have been playing some wicked stuff since he's been appointed, far better aesthetically than anything Pardew has ever produced and it's been successful. I believe that managers like Pardew and Moyes won't survive this revolution unless they drastically alter their approach, which won't happen. Neither Moyes or Martinez will come here. But I would prefer a Martinez-style manager over a Moyes-style one any day. We need to look to the future, the way the game's going and also to entertain the fans who have suffered watching this cancerous shite week in week out.
  6. Moyes over Martinez? How Martinez kept that shower of shite in the PL for so long is incredible, surely that's overachieving on a budget too? Has everyone officially been Pardewed?!! I wouldn't want Moyes as he's a bit of a tactical dinosaur in my opinion. He did a fantastic job at Everton but hoying Mata out wide with his lack of pace, not knowing what to do with Kagawa, playing a formation with wingers and then proceeding not to start natural wingers in said positions, adapting the tactics to the opposition- all of these things Pardew has done and gets criticised for by us as the fans. I personally would love someone to come in and entertain us, Moyes isn't the man to do that. His Everton teams were certainly capable of playing some great footy occasionally but it took him years to build up to that and I for one can't wait that long, Pardew has drained the flair out of our team so I'd prefer someone to come in and drastically change the style immediately, just so the fun of watching football will return- I can hardly watch us at the moment it's so painful. I think we should appoint someone who likes to keep the ball from time to time, actually attack the opposition as our plan A and not see every fucking fixture as 'difficult' or 'tough'. Moyes isn't that person.
  7. Wow, the penny has really fucking dropped for him now
  8. It's like every time we manage to scrape a victory the previous bastardisation of football he achieves is quickly forgotten, at least in his mind. He's a fucking con artist, and to credit him he's pretty good at that.
  9. Pards just been on SSN, says that he understands the fans' frustrations after 4 defeats (obviously our performances before then have been world-class), says the fans need to get behind the team because they're not playing with 'super-confidence', whatever the fuck that means. He also said he has to 'wear' a Newcastle United defeat and 'it's not very comfortable.' This guy just says words I swear
  10. Like Hughton a lot so disappointed for him. Thought he'd just about keep him up, he's a limited tactician but an honest one and he knew where his problems lay...unlike Pardew who's convinced we play front foot football and when we lose heavily it's 'unlike us.'

Went to watch Brighton with my mate's company on Sat, lovely corporate section (I know, I'm boasting)...asked him and a few others what they thought of Poyet. They all said they weren't too bothered when he left, he struggled in the play-offs and whilst they kept the ball, his tactics and substitutions were baffling at times and Brighton never played with any urgency or pace. They said he tinkered with the team for no particular reason, especially when they had momentum during a game and it was incredibly frustrating. His eye for a player isn't brilliant either (cited Vicente and Bruno as examples) and from all accounts he's a bit of an egotistic cock. They all agreed he has potential for the future though.
  12. Agreed. It's actually starting to get to me

Oh for fuck sake how does the guy not get pulled up more for the shite he spouts. Disciplined? In what way? Gouffran out of position constantly and doing fuck all in both directions, Sissoko running around aimlessly with and without the ball, a strikeforce less intimidating than a dead kitten, a CB doing a shit impersonation of a RB, a central midfield pairing without enough creativity to even fill in a fucking colouring book....how people defend this pathetic excuse for a manager (and a human judging by his touch line antics since he's been here) is beyond me. The worst thing is that Pardew seems to think no-one can see right through him
  14. Who on earth sent that letter to Pardew saying they're proud of the team after reaching 40 points then?!! After seeing the results displayed like this it makes no sense.

    Paul Dummett

Like that lad but never rated him, looks one-paced and a bit shit technically. Doesn't exactly put in a great cross either. Haidara for me, granted we've not seen a lot of him but would rather try him over someone who probably won't make it consistently at this level

Pardew To be fair to him I don't think he knows what the fuck he's on about half the time
  17. 0-1, Chamakh 90th min. Wouldn't mind seeing HBA, Marv or god forbid both of 'em considering we've got fuck all to play for this season. Got a feeling Shola will start after moaning about not wanting to end his career here on the bench. Probably gonna watch the cricket instead to be fair
